You mean sound explosion grand final or NDFFF surround ? Let`s not use grand final termin again please because it confuses me alredy ;D Will try this new surround edition compared to SU 1.3.3 and NDFFF tonight. Atm I think I will still revert to SU 1.3.3 from NDFFF because little fatique caused by highs (otherwise it would be awesome FW).

I really like the Grand Final. The Surround edition didn't catch my taste buds.
I'm getting greater details from the Grand Final so i'm sticking to it for now.
To get a better feel i need to wait for my commute back home this evening...
 
I'm using DX50(Lineout) with ALO National amp so i dunno the sound from the Headphone out of it.

I can connect this to my PC via USB and let DX50 act as a DAC/amp for my PC.

there are plenty of firmwares from the doc to be honest your better of 
trying these out , anything that i basso will give you will not be as good as
what doc has done with the original firmware, what version are you using now? .

And lets not forget Sound Unlocked 1.3.3 which is still one of the best FW for DX50 ...imho.
Latter mentioned DOC`s is also same good actually but depending Your ears sensitivity to highs, it might cause littlebit fatigue.

agreed 1.3.3 is still one of the best

I'm using FW 1.5. I am quite satisfied with the sound of that firmware. But there are many other things such as the glitches, skipping of songs, gapless that still need a fix. If Doc has fixed all those issues in his firmware I'd rather use those firmwares than Ibasso's. Could anyone confirm if those issues are still present with Doc's firmwares? And I need my Ibasso to play both FLACs and ALACs because my whole music collection of music is in those formats.

I'm new to the custom firmwares of the DX50 and run the 1.5 firmware.   I like a balanced sound.  What's the latest custom one to download and how do I download it?   Reading this forum there are many options and it becomes a little confusing.   Thank you.
