My phone is loud enough. Most of the time amplification is not about volume.

Yes it's true but if it's not loud enough that's a bigger problem. None of my phones were loud enough for the HE500s. If you never heard the HE500s amped then I think it driven just with the DX50 with no amp wouldn't seem half bad

Will selecting and using high gain settings with say 25 ohm iems damage them (I mean the drivers workings) in the long run?

I am fearing that this might damage them by over powering.

Please clarify this issue.

Not if you put the volume too high for too long. Why would you want to use te high gain for an iem?

Oh okay. I had thought the same.

Why? Because it boosts frequencies. Though my volume is no more than 200, 2 is my choice and sometimes I gaze at the setting high  :)

PS: Are 180-190-200 considered "normal"?

What do you mean by it boost frequencies? You mean the signal? When I use the HO at low gain 200 is loud enough. 210 is my threshold.

With my M100's (which are very easy to drive, probably comparable to some IEM's) I use medium gain from 180-205 depending on how loud the music is. Some quiet classical stuff ill turn up to 210-220, but for the most part im in the 190-200 range.

Has anyone from the United States sent there DX50 back for repair? I would like to know how much shipping was and more importantly how long tell I get it back? I'm tired of being the only one who is still having freezing issues so this thing is going back.

I returned a T5 once and it cost me 25$ shipping to China from the US, very expensive but sometimes that's the only option you have.

What are you going to do about the DX50, get it fixed?
