I think I should have waited until the firmware got further ahead before buying. Resetting the DX50 a few times a day does get annoying.

Well, I just got a letter in the mail from FedEx today.. Have to pay $13 in taxes and an advancement fee... Ordered from MP4 Nation.
Pretty sad really, considering the declared value is only $20. Wonder if I can complain enough to have them waive the $10 advancement fee.
Shipped to Canada, in case anyone's wondering.

socialismus needs your money to fund prosperous future of others ... :)
i also had to pay despite small declaration value because customs uses to gross up value for shipping costs which boosts total value. then tax is applied for percentage but no less than a certain minimum put in their manual.

Does anyone else here find that after the latest update (1.25), the shutting down process takes a a bit of time before fully shutting off?

i assume you mean 1.2.5 FW, in this case my answer is Not, after stepped from 1.2.2 to 1.2.5 works fine.

Yeah, 1.2.5. I guess it might just be my DX50, but I also noticed the auto-power off option has been tweaked on mine. When the set time is up, the player usually shuts off on its own, but with these last few days, every time it hits its set time, it just reboots the unit.

Just to follow up, it's the scanning of the micro sdxc card every time I turn it on that makes me reset it. On 1.2.5 firmware. I sent an email to ibasso, and got this response:

Hi,
We are fixing this problem now. You may downgrade the firmware to V1.2.2 or V1.2.3
The new firmware will be released in 1 week.

Sincerely

Can`t you stop the scan by hitting the small white X in the top right corner?

Nope. It goes to "Stopping Scan" or something screen, and continues to not go back to the track. I'll probably go back to 1.2.2 when I have time.

is this only me lucky? three weeks now using DX50 with 1.2.5 FW and no issues. yesterday did a card scan and it took only 5 minutes or slightly less, after that no issues, DX50 powers up instantly and is ready to go without any irks or scans... do not know guys, i believe i am just lucky.

on the sound, i find not much change with burn in and continue to prefer DX50 amped to DX50 unamped. overall DX50 a lovely sounding machine which makes me very happy. so happy that my "famous" C3+BH combo might be put out for sell soon, have to check it again but see little reason to keep it then.

In your actual experience, do you think the combo DX50+T1 sounds very much better than C3+BH?

As I read somewhere that C3 has better clarity and cleaner sound than DX50. Any comment?
