just received it. So happy with the quality, the 1st sight of the player, is, WOW! Look at the quality and the design, I love the 3 huge front buttons! But not until I found out the vol up button having a QC issue :frowning2: hmmm. It is very hard to feel the pressing in "click" as if the button is defective, though it is working, but it is somehow does not have a good click like other buttons and it is needed to press hard to make sure it works. Sigh, everyone knows that it is such a trouble to return it just for a working but not so good vol up button :frowning2: Gonna open up the player and see if I could fix it :frowning2:

The buttons will soften with use, mine were stiff when I just got it now smoother.

Careful about opening it up, easy to crack the shell or dent it also the buttons are on the opposite side so you got to open it up completely. Do it at your own risk.

mine is not about the stiffness. It is about not clicking in, like the mechanical switch behind the plastic button gone in overly inside and the plastic button couldn't reach and touch on it well. Many of the time I couldn't even feel the click at all :frowning2:

Possibly been asked before, but the DX50 seems to cut off the first second or so of each track, kind of like it fades in.  Any way to stop this?  btw 5th batch.

No.
iBasso explained that it is either that or a pop at the start of every song.

Putting the gapless to 5 sec, did it for me. Although sometimes it still cuts a little of the beginning of the song, but it's much better.

Yup fixed it for me most of the time, also few others I helped with.

Ok, I thought you had issues with it being stiff, mine does click but softly and seems to be relatively responsive. I noticed that not all buttons have the same feel, some lighter than others.

Mine has arrived today - at home, while I'm still at work -
Hopefully I can give some impressions soon. My CIEM has an impedance of 35 ohms so should work very well with the integrated amp.
I also have the Electric Avenues PA2V2 to test with external amplification.
Excited if I can hear any difference to my Galaxy S3:)

Since 3 Days i have tried to install The latest firmware 1.2.0 to Upgrade My firmware 1.1.6
After i done The comparison between these 2 firmware during 3 Days , i have decided to Go back to
Firmware 1.1.6

Fw 1.1.6
High : more extended , fresh and better Speed and better pronounce
Mid : more Clear and Clean and i find more Live
Bass : better detail , more Clear and clean and better bass impact
The bass going to Low Without distorsion.
Soundstage : wider and deeper
Separation : better separation that We can detect The sanger and The instrument
More accurate
Bacground : better black background more clean SQ
Fw 1.2.0
High :smoother For Me The Speed slower than fw 1.1.6
Mid : Sound more analog , For My taste to thick and not as clean
And Clear compare fw 1.1.6
Bass : to Boomy more subwoofer bass than mid bass , less bass impact
Soundstage : i feel all so narrow
Separation : is not as Good fw 1. 1. 6
Not so Clear that it is not so Easy to detect individual instrument
Background : more noise Floor than fw 1.1.6

This is For The 2nd Time i tried fw 1.2.0
I give Up , i Love fw 1.1.6 more

Please try use headphone out pair With external amp or direct you can hear The SQ different

My IMO

I'd happily go back to v1.6, as I thought it sounded better, my ears weren't as pin point accurate as Rudi's though in detecting changes.

The problem with v1.6 is that curse of a 'volume bug 'which v1.2 appears to have cured. I will not go back to bugged out volume.
