Unicorn from Dan came in the mail today.  Suppose to be magic.  I am de-gaussing my headphone cables ATM but it can do other things like dampen vibrations of your hardware.  Make your data bit perfect and jitter free.  If your headphones are high ohm it will raise the voltage of your amplifier to match.  It will jack up the current if you have a low ohm headphone.  Yes that is the official technical term Dan used, "jack up".  So far the only sonic difference I am hearing is my daughter crying tying to get the unicorn.

I'd never jack up an unicorn. Too tempermental. 
 
It's only when you treat them nicely that they'll begin to reap in delicious unicorn mayonnaise for harvesting.

I will be upgrading my 3.0 version Maddogs when the service is available. The AD's will get brutally scrutinized against my TH600...but seriously I think it will nice to have a choice for different moods/music.

So it's not super sexy but this is the prototype insert and box.  I had a different photo in mind for today but it didn't happen...
 
The box is clean, too (not white, this is only a fit test, with an unfinished stand).  Beta headphones, with the stock risers and early paint.  The bag, cable and stuff go in the void in the stand.  
 
The paint is done on the first batch, they're looking great.  It's a 5 coat finish.  We think we're still ok to ship this month (e.g. Monday!).

Looks awesome. Very excited for people to finally put their ears to them.

...a box and a stand. Who would have guessed? And the vindication marches on.

Hey Dan, I haven't bothered checking this thread in awhile so sorry if this has already been asked. Is it possible to order a couple of those stands separately? That black stand would look awesome with some of my other headphones.
