Sennheiser Momentum On-Ear Impressions

Hey guys, does anyone tried the samsung level ON and level OVER headphones? I like the earpads on the level ON. They are made of leather but they feel like marshmallows to the ear. They are very very very soft. But the sound, its too bassy for my tastes. The lever OVER on the other hand, sounded much better. It has a bigger soundstage and better balance through the frequencies overall. But the earpads are not so soft. I like the earpads of the level ON much better. ( if you get a chance to tried the level ON, i think you'll feel that the earpads are like cotton... They are so damn softtttt )

I wonder if how soft the m80 and MOE's pads compared to the level ON?

MOE's earpads are very, very close to marshmallow-y soft.  M80 falls right behind MOE - small difference.

I forgot to ask, are the ear pads of the m80 removable/replaceable? I'm trying to find a replacement pads for the m80 but i can't find one.

Yes, they are. You can email V-MODA and ask them to send you a pair.

Is there an alternative for the pads? I don't mind if its not diamond-shaped. I want it just to fit the headphones.

No because the pads require a connector that only VModa makes.

My MOE went back to Best Buy. Even at the sale price I didn't think they were worth keeping. They had too much bass and too little mid-range. They were comfy and I liked the design, but they ended up going back.

Ever heard of EQ adjustment?!

What's an EQ? Lol

Equalizer(ation)
Something pointless, unless everything you listen to music with has equalizers with customizable settings, and I don't mean presets.  If you didn't like it, you didn't like it then and don't need to care any more.

So what headphone might you try next to expand your collection with?

i kinda agree, i don't really like eqing anything i just use the stock music app on my ipod touch (and its the least buggy or glitchy compared to accudio or equalizer) and the if i HAD to use one of the presets for the MOE it would be for "bass reducer" but that lead the treble feeling a bit much and didn't do anything to the mids.

the moe has its appeal for sure though, it just not my cup of tea (mids a bit too recessed) and bass being a bit too boomy)

The simple one with only one button is for Android devices, the other is for iDevices.  It even says so on the box.  Make sure that all connectors are inserted properly wherever they go.
