When I joined head-fi I was 12. My advice to you: run. If I'd known back then I'd have to be spending $105 a week on rent in the future I would have saved all that headphone money.

Also when you look back in four years time at the posts you made when you were 15 you'll cringe.

You mean you only pay $105 a week in rent? Good lord, whose basement are you in?

Incidently, you don't have to be 15 to make cringe-worthy posts. I cringe at my posts now.

In Dunedin $70-$100 per room is pretty standard for a flat within like 10 minutes walk from uni. I guess rent varies from place to place. You guys get paid more over there so your rent can probably be higher.

In my experience it's better to never look at your own post history.

I am 17, and I have caught the disease :p

My desktop setup cost around 2k if I had bought new/paid full price

I started in high school, too. I got a pair of Skullcandy FMJ's. I didn't know anything about headphones then, but I knew that those things sounded bad and weren't really an upgrade over the crappy stock-ish IEM's I had before. They went back the next day, and my search began.

Well, it's just that once we know you're a teenager we can ignore everything you say and treat you with great condescension.

That's important.

I'm 16 and I've been on this site for a little while now. I just don't come here very often anymore because I don't have money, and I have other things to obsess about other than headphones.

Does 22 count as a "teenager"?

Or do you lot down there consider that as "old man" territory?

As an almost 20 year old I still see 22 year olds as old men.
