  something about X3

1, we already start to make a stacking kits for X3 cause the big and little brother will has their own kit. so it may not fair to X3's user. sorry it is a little late.

2, We still working in the x3's firmware but we have too many firmware to by developed and the x3 is quite stable . but we have never give up x3 , and finally all the features ( except some relate to hardware ) will be the same in x1/x3/x5.

BTW, as some of you guys know I can't take care so many baby cause the health reason, and Joe help me but it is his part-time job so we may not have enough resource to track all the thread but please give us some time to train more staff to support you guys.

Good to see you back on the forums. By all means take care of your health, it is the most important thing.

I'm back here for a bit:

I just painstakingly created an account on the chinese FiiO forums, and i found there the "liteGUI" for fw3.0 and up.

This tool makes it possible to run the firmware from your windows computer. We had a previous version, but this didn't work after firmware 3.0.

It's especially handy for theming, as you won't have to load the fw to the X3 all the time.

(If this had already been posted here by James, please let me know)

Also, if @undersys is still active here, could you please send me a PM?

that link takes me to a fw download. is there anything like this available for the x5 and 1 yet?

It should lead to a .zip file, titled x3v2PC模拟器20140430.zip

I don't know if it'll work with X1, but it doesn't work with the X5.

hey guys ... any body tried to re size the album arts to 240x298 or 296 as the default fiio background size ... it affects the time of changing between songs positively  ... the gap between changing songs information & album arts decreased (1 second or something negligible for me ) and will be very acceptable .... i uploaded a video on youtube showing that ... but it seems not working for some reason !! (it is my first one

Hi:

Appreciate the prompt reply.

I downloaded the drivers and the Win8 64-bit driver authorization.

I installed the drivers 1st (no problems with driver authorization).

When I run the TUSC Audio Driver software, it prompts me to connect my
device (FiiO E18 Kunlun). I connect it and it does not recognize my E18.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.... Ross.

a question here, is there any difference using low/high gain when using line out.
i am using x3 lineout to e12 and then to my dt770 80ohm.
thanks

high gain increases the sensitivity (like the ISO on a camera) which makes things louder. But, like higher ISO on a camera increases more noise, the same is true for high gain

No difference. Line out bypasses all amp functions on the X3. Use the e12 for selecting low/high gain.

Techically it boosts gain in amplification not sensitivity. Sensitivity is a measure of headphones.

The boost in amplification also boosts the noise floor of the amp.
