Yesterday my C3 is R.I.P after 4 months of using it.

Very bad in term of product reliability even though C3 sounds very good.

Anyway, my next DAP will never come from Colorfly!

Didn't you get yours from bigbargainonline in which case it comes with a 1 year warranty? As far as product reliability even the most expensive electronics can die suddenly after a short time of use. That doesn't mean all C3s are faulty. I've had my C3 for more than 9 months and it's still going strong.

Even you have 1 year warranty, may be it is too costly to ship it back because you need to pay for the shipping cost.
Anyway I'm going to scrap it.

I'm glad yours is still survive.

No scrap... Send it to me to see about a Holy Resurection of the sacred C3. I can perform the divine rights.

I bought the after-market warranty that eBay offers (Square Trade) for about $10.  However, when I had my "issue" with a seemingly-dead C3 the company said I had to use the C3 warranty while it was in place.  Which, of course, it wasn't.  It remains to be seen whether it will actually ever come through with a cash refund or repair if the C3 breaks.

Cyber, sorry to hear about your troubles, perhaps a lemon you got? My c3 rocks and is just fine.

Perhaps you may like to inquire with Colorlfy support since hardware issues must be covered irrespective of their silly selling policy. If not then let us know so people here are aware what not to buy. I would not pay a single dime if company does not cover a three month old product.

Tried the reset button?

Let me do that & report back by end of the day.

So far has anyone experiencing the dead of C3 before the warranty period over?

I just ran into the same problem last night. Nothing worked so I thought the battery was dead. However, after charging, it was still dead. Remembering the comment about the reset button, I found an extraordinarily small hole over the input. It was almost too small for a small paper clip and it took some pushing to get it into the hole. With some depth I felt something that felt like a click and then voula, the on button started the player again. My Clip+ will occasionally lock up the same way requiring me to hold the on button for 20 seconds to reset. I am assuming that the C3 has the same issues. I read somewhere that incompatible tags or resolutions will do this but have not tried to follow up. Requiring a paper clip makes resetting this player much more difficult.

But at least possible! Good stuff.

Cyber, Kova is right, at least you can feel happy C3 does not cost 1K, imagine how pissed off you would be then.

Paperclip seems too big.  I tried it and failed.  Now I use a pin (the kind that comes in new shirts). Works perfectly, no need to force anything.

Yes a pin or a twist tie stripped a little will work as well.
