More good news, btw.

Nice-Cans will have a Fostex HP-A8 DAC/amp ($2000) as well as Musical Fidelity V-Can II ($200) and M1HPA ($800) amplifiers available to try.

Oh gosh. That Fostex looks mighty good to me. Clearly it's reasonable to have an amp/dac that costs $2000 to power headphones that cost $400, right?

...right?

I thought so too. Plus that thing looks really nice. Regardless of how it sounds.

He hasn't mentioned it. You can talk to him about it at the meet though.

No longer taking checks via mail (not that it was a popular option anyways). Also the last day I will take PayPal is February 28th. After that, I will only take cash at the door. Please bring $20 bills (or bills adding up to exactly $20), not $50 or $100. I don't want to have to deal with a lot of bill changing.

Reminder to those wishing to pre-pay via PayPal. 3 days left.

So if I just show up with money and myself, I'll be able to come listen to all your guy's superior gear? Seems like a pretty good gig.

I saw that some people said to bring your own music, but can I get by just showing up empty handed? Looking forward to it.

Should be ok to show up with absolutely nothing, but I would highly suggest at least burning a cd with your favorite songs on it.

For people that show up empty-handed (and for myself), I'm bringing about probably 50 CD's, 30 LP's, and a hard drive with about 350gb of full CD quality tracks.  If you're into classical or jazz, I've definitely got a decent amount that I'll have on hand.  I'll have a little bit of other genres but probably not enough to satisfy.  Hence, it might be advisable to burn at least something you listen to regularly.

I'll probably end up bringing my laptop (with all my CDs ripped to it) along with about 70 records.

While they may take up some space, I'm excited about all the record players. :)

Here are the 'final' table positions. The middle row is empty and space #35 is also empty so we have a bit of room for unexpected stragglers if needed. Let me know if you should have a table and are not listed, or if you do not need a table and are listed. I've finished printing all the table ID cards so you are free to change your avatar if you like. You need not memorize your spot. The table ID cards will be placed at your position and you will be told what number you are when you check in. There will be a layout with the numbers on the tables at the registration table for you to get your bearings.

If you are bringing a turntable and I have you assigned to a single position instead of a double. Please let me know!

I'll probably be writing a note of my own and I think most with turntables might want to as well, but people need to be horrendously careful with them.

I just replaced my cart because of a bent cantilever, and I don't want to be replacing another one.
