It's not that bad, though if the people telling you how to play aren't very good at instructing, it can be a nightmare to make sense of it.

I don't think you can play it with your cats, though, so TwinQY might not like it so much.

Nah, it's aces. Just need a doctorate in EE and a couple of years of med school on top. That's the target audience, of course.

I've never seen a game of this played that has made sense to me. The extent of my cardiness is Big 2.

There are lots of variants and extra, optional rules that get added in that make it confusing. That, and the fact that the jack of the selected trump suit and the other jack of the same color are the highest- and second-highest-valued cards in a hand, respectively. That just flies in the face of logic.

But since when have Michiganders been logical. Two words: Michigan left.

My ex-wife was from Michigan, whenever we went to visit her family they'd always corner me into playing 8-10 hours of Euchre. I prefer Rook and gin.

8-10 hours? Geez! I like Euchre, but I'd pretty much hate any card game if I had to play it that long, even if it were broken up over the space of a few days.

Mahjong takes a heck of a long time - not because of the actual game, it's the bantering and the gossip and the food, oh dear god the food.

10 hours seems about right for 10 or so sessions. Heck I know people back home who do these sessions daily.

Damn, I just keep extending my lead. I'm happy to see that at least I'd still be Supremus-level even if I hadn't ever posted in here. Still, somewhere between a third and half of my overall posts were here in TMAC.

Also, where is this stat located? I searched for it the last time you posted a capture and couldn't for the life of me find where you got that from.

Actually, I just realized something. Not one of us noticed that yesterday was the one-year anniversary of this thread. I can't believe I didn't think of that.
