I'd get them new with new

employment. Right now I can't rub two nickels together - they'd better be good

and used. I think the two models are so very s-e-x-y.

Those probably have a metallic shimmer to the sound, though with a warm glow to the upper mids. Also, gaudy as hell. Definitely not my style. I wouldn't say no if they fell into my lap, though. They might not sell as speakers (even the very gullible and very rich might be a tough sell here), but you could melt them down for the gold.

Those things have to weigh an astronomical amount. It's been ages since I looked at a periodic table, so while I know gold isn't the densest commonly-encountered metal (and I don't remember which one is), I know it's pretty high up on the list. I'd love to see the shipping bill to get those things halfway across the world.

Garfield is missing one of his suction cups and his series tag, and he's rather pissed about the whole thing. He's also upset that this thread has been rather quiet.

lool dat face. Can't tell if happy or mad.

Garfield is never happy. Especially since his suction cups can't actually hold him up on a wall and never did.

I have 6 Garfield plush toys on the pelmet in my bedroom along with an Alf the Alien.
My Garfield with the suction caps has the full complement...

Mine is from around 1980 (it has two dates, 1979 and 1981, so go figure). At that time Dakin had the Garfield license. I have no idea who has it now, though. Any idea who made your Garfields and when they were made?

1978, 1981 for the one with the suction cups & Stuck On You button on the back. Mine has a bigger smile and OH NO the suction cap on the left front paw is missing....

1978 (I think) for the one with "I Hate Mondays"

1978 "Why Me?"  x 2

1978, 1981 "Don't Ask" has a smug satisfied smile.

1978, 1981 for one with the same smug smile

All are by Dakin.

Thanks for looking at that for me. I just came across a bunch of my old stuffed animals recently and am curious about them, so I've been looking them up online. I actually got one of the dates above wrong; mine also says 1978, 1981, so I'm assuming it's part of the same series as all of yours. I came across all the ones you've listed when looking mine up. Mine has a button on the back, too, which says "I'm climbing the walls for you."

It's funny how we can come across something we haven't seen in over a decade and all of a sudden want to know more about it.

Yep, thay's life...

I used to have more Garfields, but gave some of the larger ones away.

One of my favourites was the back end and tail which you closed the boot lid on so it hung out..

Some of the reactions to that one were priceless.....
