This are an upgrade to the mk2 with better bass texture and better soundstage and intrument seperation, the midrange is more foward and natural sounding then the mki a.k.a the original. I think only 4 ppl have them but all of us should spread the w9rd about such a wonderful iem to everyone on other thread . I usually troll other thread and mention these and some gets interested in them and order them, so probably there are more ppl the we think and some doesn't believe in burn in so they usually miss the change on hearing such afe wonderful sound iem that them make judgement on open box and they say that it sound ok and soon enough sell it, some ppl give the only 100hr and say that it didn't make a different and sell them , but they really do change and becomes a truly wonderfully beautiful sonding iem which to me sound better the all my other iems and they are so natural sounding that I know they will not be able to replace them in a while, maybe when the dual dynamic driver gr07 comes out

What you are saying above about burn in is also so true. When I first got mine, I knew the potential was there, but I wasn't feeling quite as wowed by them as I thought that I should be. They have really changed quite a bit with burn in though, and now that mine are near the 300 hour mark, they are wowing me whenever I put them in.

Just ordered one from Amazon UK and cant wait to see what the hype is all about. What is the best tips to use?

Stock blue tips seem to be the most popular to get the most balanced sound.

I just received my headphones!!! I'll write a detailed impressions&review post but first I would like to discover them a little . One thing about these wow'd me and another thing meh'd me. I'll see how these impressions will evolve with different tips and so called burn in.

Meanwhile let's do a quick head-count. Can everyone write what tip they are currently using or think gives the best performance?

^ LoL still on MH1C tips straight outta my ipods on "Flat" EQ preset.

Damn i love this cable and the adjustable nozzle. LMAO

I def liked the adjustable nozzle but the cable didn't wow me. I mean I read somewhere they almost felt like satin lol They are definitely soft but honestly I've had headphones with softer feeling cables (not flimsy), not sure which ones they were though.

By the way cable color kind of surprised me. From the pictures, I had the impression it really looked like sugar cane but honestly these rather remind me yellow-black striped hazard warning signs but in red :p

I believe there are three blues. One with foam thingy in it, one with dark blue and one with lighter blue.

They included world's set of tips. So which one are you referring to?

^ None of the above, my set belongs to atomik and since he originally only intended to loan it to eke who already have regular set of gr07s there were no tips that were sent.  Therefore, I don't have the luxury of stocks tips, but eke and others have said the Sony MH1C tips along with auvio tips from radioshack sounds great with these so.............. there ya' go. Happy tip rolling though it's best to find the best tips/ sound by yourself anyways.

Ah I see.... However I am shocked to see how these headphones change with different tips. They completely change characteristics. So far I've tried two different tips. Currently experimenting with gray foams. These tips somehow balance between mids and bass (i feel like bass is a bit shaved though). However, it's almost orgasmic to hear the instruments separated beautifully in electronic music. When I close my eyes, I feel like I'm the DJ playing :D

But.... I sometimes feel like the bass is NOT enough. Yeah sorry but really this is how I am feeling now (and no I'm not a basshead, bass is really there but they sound like empty cans not soft' lush bass). But with different tips, bass changes a lot. So I don't want to come to a conclusion so early. Even while writing this post, once in a while I hear so beautifully produced bass in the background that contradicts my feelings, yeah anyway we will see how this will turn out.

So far my first impression is very very good but not because of awesome bass but because of the awesome balance between mid-high and forward mids. I definitely feel there is a soundstage. During euphoric moments, I feel like these easily kick the a** of my past Westone UM2s which were used to be like almost the double price of these headphones. Also when I tried 07s for the first time, I was outside. Then suddenly jumped out of my skin when heard a strong bass at the beginning of a song. I thought it was a car accident out there somewhere., hence the confusion of feelings about bass... Ahhhh what are you vsonic gr07? what are you?:D:D

So far the tips I loved most are gray foam ones. They always create this"virtual" experience that I feel like I am hearing sounds outside (like earphones leaking noise). Also I feel like they are adding "punchiness" to bass, which I enjoy. And since they are squeezed before putting in your ear (you should be quick), they easily go into ear channel in the right way. I'm so happy I am not feeling buyer's remorse.

Two things:

1) Stick with the blue stock tips

2) Make sure you have sufficient burn in. The bass truly does transform into a beautiful organic monster, and the treble is tamed, yet still wonderfully extended and detailed.

3) Wow. Listen to this Noisia track with these puppies, and I'm not really sure it could sound better with any other iem. (ok, that's three things).

Which blue stock tips? Am I the only one confused here? There are four pairs of blue tips. Light blue and dark blue with/without sponge thing inside.

Hi guys! I think I've finally found a perfect example of how well these headphones can perform. People who have access to Spotify (other versions on the internet is low quality so it doesn't work), can you please listen to the first 5 seconds of this song? it sounds like music is not coming from your headphones, it's like someone in front of you making noise:

Because of you-club radio edit by feng shui feat max c (song itself is terrible but that first 5 seconds is out of this world)

And oh-my-god, when i listened to this track before getting the headphones, i was like so what.... but now this is amazing.... all that quality bass, it's like shaking me. I think changing the tips and disabling all artificial sound effects helped a ton. OR really these babies rock with burn in. I could swear like 5 hours ago bass was sounding like cans but now listening to that track, it sounds like the dolby effects they show in cinemas right before the movie starts.... i've been burning in them for more than 8 hours now... I'm still yet to grasp how these produce "surround" effects... Try listening to movie soundtracks, wow... Try "Mind if I cut in" from batman dark knight rises soundtrack... I mean instruments are coming from every direction at your face... I didn't read anything like this in this whole thread so I'm sooo suprised. The best 180 dollars spent in the past few years... ahhh sooo happy after years of searching for the right headphones, FINALLY found my love... I think I've spent more than 800$ for headphones in the past two years. If only I knew they were there earlier.

and interesting article:http://news.cnet.com/8301-13645_3-20061153-47.html

Note:I'm trying gray foam tips, not pushing very deep but slightly in ear channel (very important for bass production, all in your ear channel will not produce better bass but in fact may lessen it). I had to experiment it all night. I've tried all other tips. But feel like these are the best tips for me. (but maybe really burn in happened and can still sound good with them too, i'm just too tired to try again)
