Going to cost about $1000, for everything excludeing the GPU, hoping the price drops by then.

You can do better on the PSU (OCZ psu's are rubbish and probably will blow up the instant you turn on your computer for the first time) and the graphics card. Newegg and MC has some recent deals on the 290 and 290X for around $400-550. And you don't need a separate Intel NIC card unless you run your PC as a WDS server or something similar.

Don't you already have a 3770k or something right now?

I've had my OCZ Modular for over 2 years now... although I do have stability issues [but the PSU tests perfecetly fine]

I can ditch the NIC then, and I'll keep my eyes open for a 290x

and I have a 3450k atm

Why don't you buy a used 3770k? The 4770k is literally equal or 10% most in performance, cost more, overclocks less and has a lower thermal heat tjunction limit compared to the 3770k. Since you already have a 1155 system just swap out CPU and GPU for something bit better, otherwise you're wasting your money for nothing. Even a used 2600/2700k for around $150 on ebay will be pretty much equal with the current Hascrap stuff and those Sandy's overclock higher.

290/290X GPU's also run very hot and need beefy PSU to run them efficiently. If you have extra cash lying around put it into a Seasonic or Corsair unit.

Last I checked, the 4xxx CPU's were priced competetively with little need to get a 3xxx. Hell 5xxx soon maybe.

That RAM.....why? Are you looking for more performance or something? OC'd and fast RAM helps on APU's and the likes sure, but on an i7 and for gaming? I mean yeah, it really depends on what you want it for. Video editing and all that may work better with faster RAM, but in this case, if you were to video edit, 16GB's of RAM is better than 8GB's that is a bit faster.

That SSD. Is hella overpriced that you have listed. 256GB's from Plextor, Samsung, Seagate, Sandisk, Kingston are selling for $110 easilly.

What kind of games do you want to run?

The PSU is a Seasonic Rebrand yeah, but you should be able to get a 760W or one in that area for cheaper if you look.I got my brother a 550W Seasonic manufacturered PSU from XFX for $20. Albeit it wasn't modular and prices scale up heavilly past the initial ones. I'd say maybe $100 you can find one.

Decent mouse, but I believe there are better ones for $60. Depending on what playstyle you like of course

Don't cheap out on the PSU, I've heard of people having Ultras pop on them before. Go for something like this, well I don't know how good it is, but it's 80+ Bronze so that's a start.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152052

Video card, think about buying the 6950 the guy here is selling.

For fans, I've got a number of Noctuas laying around here. If you want I can see if I can find 2-3 of them and they're yours for $12 a piece. If you bought 3 you could go with a better cooler(that doesn't come with a fan.) Also have a few generic blue/green LED fans if that's more up your alley. 2 140mm fans as well.
And why two cases?

Somewhat off topic but also relevant, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajiN9aVOv4A Guess whose the moron with an 850W power supply and a 7770? I've been using an 850W power supply since my first build(which had a 5770, lol...) I really didn't have a clue back then at all.

Just got my Mac running

I'm a bit unsatisfied with the speed test

I've been reading that some Mac's have issues utilizing the Samsung EVO 840 properly due to its controller.

I'm getting only 200MB/s by 250MB/s (read) as opposed to the 400MB/s I could

I'll be trying out Windows installation tmmrw to see if that will spice things up

OCZ Modular is not a Seasonic rebrand.

@Mshenay: Consult with Johnnyguru.com for all your PSU reviews, no other better source out there.

I think I remember OCZ Modulars being pretty damn good on that site actually -.-

I like my current Corsair Vengance mouse, so I figured let's get the better one, and the mouse feels good in the hand, I'd keep it but I've done messed it up from to many RAGE MOUSE SLAMS

also this build is atm conjeture, chances are what I have may change a little when I go to buy everything,
