Oh, that's nothing. Just wait 'til you've had the chance to play with a big, long, stiff Thrustmaster stick, especially one with a force-sensing mod so it barely moves under all your yanking and banking. Your flight sim pleasure will be taken to new heights!
 
Dear god, what the hell were they thinking with that name? Sure, thrust is the force that pushes an airplane forward, but they're just setting themselves up for things like this.
 
Anyway, on the topic of Enermax PSUs, there's a REVOLUTION85+ 950W in my current build (way more power than I need for the time being, but I'm expecting later generations of graphics cards to have ridiculous TDP like NVIDIA's infamous Fermi architecture) and a PRO87+ 600W in my friend's build that I recently put together. Performance-PCs just had to tempt me with their half-price PSU clearance sale like that.
 
I hope they hold up as well as my Seasonic M12-based PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610 has over the last six years.

So I've hit a snag with this new PC.

After assembling the computer, I can't get video out from the motherboard., and the computer restarts about ecery minute. The mother board is an Asrock Z87 Extreme 3.

Any ideas?

Edit: Took all the ram out and still see this problem. Guess I've out Schiity ram.

Edit: press on the ram abit more, now it's not doing the restart bit. Just no video now

edit: removed graphics card, now it all works

Ah the joys of a new build. I have had great luck getting everything on first boot with my own builds, but the last PC I built for my parents was another story. It would not POST at all and only the fans would spin. After checking the usual suspects and about an hour of headaches, it turned out the budget case we had picked was shorting out on the back panel of the gigabyte board -_- .

Turn PSU Off / Unplug from wall.  Remove CMOS battery, and press power button.  Insert graphics card, CMOS battery, and turn the PC back on.
 
If it doesn't work still, might have to check for obstructions, and possibly PSU.

Just use the CMOS reset jumpers on the board.

Not sure what I could swap out and give me more performance while staying on budget (challenging myself by staying as chose to $400 as possible.).

I'll also be doing some screen capturing with this.

Not very gammy at all.Very entry level, specially with the APU.
 
There are and have been better RAM, HDD, Case, PSU at that price, but so far, without any deals, thats all you got sadly.
 
I've seen decent 1TB's go on sale for $50, and better RAM at $55 a month or two ago. Same for the PSU, where you could get a 500W seasonic rebrand at that price. 
 
I would recommend to save up a bit more, as of right now, there is too much 'loss' and lack of real upgradability with your rig. Especially with that $55 APU and so forth. 
 
Try to have $600 saved up just for the rig. Also, look at getting a used monitor from a pawn shop, craigslist etc. You can find decent ones for $20-$30.

I'd say you don't need a 500w psu.  And does anyone here actually get/use rebates? funny how the parts list says -$20 for mail in rebate.  I've heard so many horror stories of "The envelope came with nothing in it" that I don't think it's worth the time.

Rebates have never not worked for me.
 
Pc-Enthusiasts suck at business and sociology. I've come to understand that a million times through already. It's literally one of the most identifiable and faceless cultures there are in the world. And by that, I mean we are like sororities/fraternities to any business that wants to market to it. We are all just so similar in so many different ideals, ways, thinkings, and ways we 'do' things.

I'd save up more for now. An A6 isn't going to get you anywhere for gaming.

Yeah $600-700 is kind of the sweet spot right now. You can go budget APU with plans to upgrade to a dedicated video card in the future though, so maybe ~$550 you can do pretty well and upgrade later.

A8-7600 (run it in 65W mode; this thing will be released later Q1; $119?), some decent A78 or A88X motherboard (mATX or ATX; $50-70), 8GB RAM @ 1600MHz that has a reputation to be able to OC to 1866-2133 MHz ($50-70), Seagate/Hitachi/WD 500GB-1TB 3.5" HDD ($50-60), NZXT Source 220 ($30-50), SeaSonic S12II 430W or SeaSonic SSR-360GP 360W ($50-$54), some good inexpensive ODD.
 
I don't know if you need the mouse and keyboard. Don't get the stupid LED lighting from Xoxide. At the very least if you want lighting, go with NZXT or Bitfenix. Also, 16GB or RAM is pretty worthless in this situation.
 
Edit: Don't buy the Corsair CX power supplies. They changed their OEM from Seasonic to some garbage company so the quality has dropped like a rock. Refer to this list for good PSUs: http://www.overclock.net/t/183810/faq-recommended-power-supplies
