Thanks guys.

Yeah, it hurts, despite being expected. He was old and worn out and I think I was mentally better prepared for it this time. I just wish I had been there with him at the end.

Again, thanks guys. I'm a bit down now but I'll be okay. You'll see me chanting about some new headphone or gadget in no-time.

I just found out that my friend Randy - you all know him as Achmedisdead - had a stroke yesterday afternoon. He passed away,... I never had the pleasure of meeting up with him. Now I never will. I'll miss talking to you bro. Rest In Peace.

His sister informed us today on anything but iPod. He was known as "Marvin The Martian" on there.

I spoke with his sister, and if they decide to have a small funeral for him I'm heading to upstate NY.
She said it all just happened so suddenly. So sad,... He was only in his early 40's.

:frowning2: That's sad news. Rest in peace... how did his sister know to let people know on ABI? I guess the forums must be something he mentioned a lot if his sister had known to log on there.

She knew that was the first portable audio site he joined, and she knew he and I talked and traded stuff quite a bit. I'm glad she let us know. She's a wonderful woman. I hope they stay strong.

And FYI:you all rock a well. I'll be sure to let his sister know how much you all care. I think it will help her and their father heal.

It's great Achmed has a voice in you and his sister. Could you tell me what type of music he enjoyed?

He was actually into techno, metal, alternative, and such. I had an iPod we traded back and forth - all the world was enjoyable to him. I'll post a link to a thread from abi tomorrow - it listed what people were listening to. He loved to post up new stuff.
