The http://stoneracoustics.blogspot.com/ site hasn't been updated for a while. Assume this product is still "active"??

Just got mine.  Took 20 days to reach the East coast from Malaysia.  Compares very well to my CLAS and my Scott Nixon Tube Dac+.  Killer deal.  Easy to use.  Killed the volume control in my PC.  No problems with my Mac Book Pro.  Sellers are very responsive via email.  Just email them and tell them you want one. Yes, you do want one.

Customer service is also excellent.  After a year and a bit of heavy use, the headphone jack of my UD100 came off.  I emailed stoner acoustics, and they took it back and fixed it for me, services was great, and quick.

Sounds great too!  Comparing to my DiYMod, the sounds is clearer and much more natural.  Granted, I am not used to high end sources, but for $50, you can't really go wrong.

Funny you mention this, I was just thinking about how annoying it is that the cable has to sit at just the right angle to make contact with the trs jack. What did it cost you to ship it back overseas?

It was only a couple of bucks, nothing major.  I just wrapped it in bubble wrap and stuffed it in an envelop, I think it costs me about $5.  I just chose the cheapest non-ground shipping, and it took a few weeks.

If it was just a loose connection, you can consider soldering it, mine was torn off and I couldn't make contact to one of the contact points on the circuit boards.

I managed to get my UD110v2 to work with iphone5s via Lightning to USB Camera Adapter and a powered USB hub.

I did measurement using RMAA and EMU 0204. See results below:

Basing on the results, I'm surprised to see that the UD110v2 via iPhone5s is actually running at 24bit.
Cos I can only get it to run at 16bit in Win7.

Looking at the results, for the price, the UD110v2 is really an amazing DAC.

For testing purpose, via laptop, i did not use amp. With iPhone5S, i have to use an amp to adjust the volume if not the line output will clip my input and i can't get any proper reading. Measurements were done with no load.

For listening from headphones, you need to use an amp as the UD110 is a DAC with line output.
I have an E12 and cMoyBB.
I own a HD600, HD558 and Cosmic Ears BA1.

Ud110+cmoyBB improves the sq significantly of the iPhone with an IEM?
Could u compare iPhone vs iPhone+ud110+cmoyBB vs laptop+ud110+cmoyBB? (With your CIEM in every case)

It would be really helpful, cuz I want to improve the sq of my iPhone and also need a DAC+amp..,

Thanks!!!

I highly recommend the addition of a USB isolation board and power supply. This opens up the sound considerably and is another worthy purchase. I use these:

with the upgraded Cardas cable:

Hello, so glad you posted this. I have a question for you. The buffer power board runs on 8-15 VDC. Do you think that there would be any advantage to using a 12V sealed lead acid battery to power the buffer (over the power supply you listed here)? I'm guessing that having a power source that is pure DC should be an improvement over having a rectified AC source. There's no 60 Hz buzz to filter out. Thanks in advance for your consideration.

I would refrain from making subjective hearing impression about sound quality as I'm not a pro reviewer.
However, for an operational point of view, my CIEM is too sensitive to be used with either cMoyBB (gain: 6db) or E12 (gain: 0db).
With volume set at 100% on my laptop, I could barely pass 9 o'clock on both amp. And at 9 o'clock, potentiometer channel imbalance is very audible.
On iPhone, the UD110 is running at 100% volume and you can't adjust the volume via the iPhone.

I understand and thanks for the reply. But you dont notice any difference than with an other headphone from iPhone only vs iPhone+UD110+cmoy or laptop+ud110+cmoy? I was looking for these results for months, I dont mind if its a a subjective impression :), I am really interested..

Thanks!
