These things are intriguing as a portable solution....although my triple.fi10s have earned a new admiration - they just suck as exercise or 'moving around' portables....the seal is always coming loose, even with the Sony EPEX10A replacement buds.....

Unfortunately no.  I was in the Vendor-side for quite a while.  By the time I started to make my way to the other rooms, it was already the end of the day.  Didn't even get a chance to audition the Orpheus and Baby Orpheus.

I rationalize it all to myself by saying there will be other meets, and that I shall go.

You were just to busy BS with everyone, it's understandable. I have always missed EC anything.
I hope at this years RMAF I can seize the opportunity.

LOL, well yeah of course!  I also had a rule that I would avoid listening to things I can't afford right now.  I don't need that kind of unfulfilled but deep-seated longing in my life right now.

The only exception was the SR-009 hooked up to a luscious amp sitting all by it's lonesome.  Who can say no to that?

when are you updating your page to order these new pads?
Or since you are just selling to existing owners, will you be taking them via email first?
Also, any chance you have already measured the Mad Dogs with these new pads? Are differences not only listenable but measurable as well???

Thanks!

Hi...  Well that was a heckuva drive back from the LA Meet.  Sorry to be offline all day, I just got home.  Had a great time, and some really nice feedback.  Traffic coming home was UGLY though.

So, I hope to have the pad pre-order page up soon.  My delay is setting up the free shipping, which turns out to be kind of a problem on my store platform, so it may be a tad longer.  A reminder that these are only for current customers, I'll be cross checking against orders.  They will be available in September.

And yes, I can measure the difference in all dimensions, distortion, magnitude and time.

Cheers,

Dan

Dan is an awesome guy to deal with. :)  The Mad Dogs are great too, but having someone like him behind the product is a HUGE bonus!

Thanks for coming Dan!  I've been curious about the Mad Dogs being my next pair for a few months now.  Today's audition has shot it up to the top of my short list.

Ah, well, to be honest, I didn't like the LCD2 much either but it was for reasons aside from the bass. I thought the bass was great but I got rid of them for other issues.

Anyway, I wouldn't give up on the MD yet. look into a more powerful portable amp if you can (and maybe the new pads will be worth it for you, too)

Haha, the bass was the main reason for me :)

Thank you! Would be interesting to see the difference. Do you mean you'll post possibly waterfalls against the 840-pads or something?

For 40usd including international shipping (guessing it's a small bag) I'm very tempted to try them for the difference at least, were it for the better or worse.

Thought I'd chime in real quick and let you guys know that I'm moving from a ranch style house to a small apartment here in Jersey and I've sold all my headphones..LCD-2/HE-500 but I'm keeping the Mad Dogs. That's gotta say something right?

With a smaller place you'd think that more hp's=better.
