Hi Jonathan,

You have an interesting collection of equipment there!  It would be great to have another Aussie do a review on the Studio-V and would be interested to it performs with your headphones!  I'm sending you further details via PM.

Thanks,
Billy

I am intrigued, too, by the new Studio and would kill for a chance to review it.

My headphone equipment is as follows:
Grado GR8
At CK10
Ortofon eQ5
Sleek Audio CT7
Earsonics SM2/3
Beyerdynamic DT1350
Beyerdynamic DT880 600

Amps:
GoVibe Porta tube
ALO the national
CENtrance DACport
CENtrance DACmini
And many others

Portable sources:
IPhone 4s
iPod shuffle 512
HiSound AMP3
Sony A828
Sansa Clip+
CLAS
And many others

Here are some Headfi reviews/previews I've posted recently:
Vorzüge VorzAMP
Ortofon eQ5
ALO The National
GoVibe Vestamp+
Fischer DBA-02 MKII

Here's and earphone that changed my life:
Victor FX500

Here's probably the first:
Darth Beyer R2DT880 back in 2006

My reviews always go to TouchMyApps, headfi, to kakaku. If applicable they go elsewhere, to computer audiophile and other forums. I live in Japan and am a Canadian expat. My brownie points are few, but I've been to and love Australia. I have also taken it completely over in the latest game of World Diplomacy over at web diplomacy net. The Russians are encroaching on our lands, but I'll defend with tooth and nail.

LOL!  Then I can call you my fellow "mate"!

Great list of equipment you've got there and I remember reading and enjoying your Fischer Audio DBA-02 MkII review a few months back.

Sure, I've sent you a PM with further details on the offer.

Cheers,
Billy

Just got the Rocoo BA, it is an amazing unit! 189 AUD is incredible price. If I had the ability to write detailed review would have loved to make the aussies proud but this fella is not good with subjective reviews.

Rocoo is one of those unit you must try to truly apperciate it sound. And you have to be patient to apperciate it more and more! Its magic kicks in after 100+ hrs of usages

Hi audionewbi,

Even though the RoCoo BA is an amazing player with superb audio quality in such a small music player, the Studio V is a different league altogether and a true high-end player and capable of driving some full-size demanding headphones and with an unbelievable 85+ hours of play time on one charge.

Thanks,
Billy

I received the Studio V yesterday. I don't want to go into details yet until my unit has gone through a proper burn in. I will say that I did take for a little test drive and was amazed at the sound this little monster (I mean that in a good way) can produce. Can't wait to hear how it sounds after a proper burn in. So far so good and quite happy.

I have had mine for quite a while now, from Billy @ NM and 1stly thank you
I love this little Pandora's box
Let me explain
UI is a creature of its own, but easy to get around once you have played with it
SQ is simply the best I have heard from anything I have owned
I would use my PC to play back CDs through my Hybrid amp listed in my sig, accompanying my HD600s
I have a Muvo2 which gets no use as its playback is appalling
I was recently using a Samsung Galaxy 1 which was quite good with my Eterna & DBA MKII
So much so, good does not praise the SG1 well enough until I had replaced it with a Motorola Razr
Bad mistake, Razr destroyed any music qualities I was so used to with SG1 and regretted the purchase of the phone
My next task was to get a DAP that was suitable to drive the above mentioned cans, and also see what they could do with my HD25s and HD600s
All I can say is, thank God Billy was able to get me to see him at NM and experience the Rooco P/ Studio V with an assortment of other Cans
All I have is praise for the Studio V and an up and coming review will be posted of a proper analysis
I have  in 2 weeks, holidays coming up, to be able to do this so will keep you posted

Is the promotion still available

Hi seanrko,

Yes, the promotion is still available.  However you need to qualify for this offer.  Please post within this thread links to reviews you have previously published and also state where you plan on publishing your review of the Studio-V.

Thanks,
Billy

I had a chance to meet up with @onizukajp today and managed to demo his Studio V. Overall, a very impressive unit for such a tiny little unit. For this special price, it's well worth it's value. It's definitely well finished, and a pretty solid device. If I'm not mistaken it's an aluminium housing. Got to look after those or they can scratch/dent easily. I must say whilst listening to it I kept thinking of the Terra Player (which still baffles me).

Mind the protective wrapping, since it wasn't mine I couldn't rip it off so I took pix with the wrapping still on it.  The earphones are FitEar TO GO! 334. Nice match to the Studio V :-

Hi AnakChan,

Yes, the body is all aluminium.  It's a bit more durable than plastic.

We're looking forward to @onizukajp review coming soon.

Thanks,
Billy
