One thing I regularly do when studying is listen to music. Experts say "no distractions eg. no music, computer, phone" and I agree with most but when I listen to music that I enjoy, I loose sense of time and just study for hours on end and enjoy it at the same time! Not sure if it works for everyone though

Actually, I have found then when I used to have to study, music in the background at the right volume did actually help me out. It's almost like playing music I liked got me more interested in what I had to learn at the time, if that makes sense.

Never really had to study, but now I'm almost always listening to stuff while programming at work. Have actually used the season 1 and 2 soundtracks for that at times.

I actually absorb information best while doodling :)

It does kinda depend on the music. For example Bill Evans (piano jazz) helps me concentrate and relax, as well as other non-upbeat instrumental music. Lyrics immediately give some distraction, and upbeat music as well.
I have also noticed that even if music does not help m concentrate, one thing it does do is make my environment less boring so that I can go on studying for longer times. Additionally, it makes other distractions less interesting, since part of my sub consciousness is focusing on the music already.

I very much agree. The type of music was a major factor with regards to how much I could actually concentrate on what I was doing, as opposed to the music.

Yup, that is all there has been. The next one comes out second week of February I believe. I've been enjoying it so far. I'm actually looking forward to the next one.

Yay Fluttershy!

Actually thought the same thing the first time we watched it but enjoyed it a lot more the second time. I think a lot of it is that it didn't match with how I expected a Discord episode to go.
