Now where could those impressions be
Stop derping around. Obviously it won't be two times the quality. Past the 400-600 dollar mark the price performance ratio becomes less and less efficient and the concept of diminishing marginal returns applies. But I do agree in that the price is what the hell ridiculous.

I have to disagree with this. The difference between my Shure se535's ($599) & my JH 16 Pro's ($1149) is quite large. Soundstage really opens up on the 16's, obviously no where near cans, whereas it was almost nonexistent on the Shure's. The detail on the 16 pro's is overall about 35% better than the Shure's, but in the low-end department you're talking about a gain in detail, clarity & dynamic range at least 50%, if not 60% better than the Shure's. The only the things the Shure's win on is their mid-fowardness, because I am a mid whore.
People always express opinions on SE535 without having heard them....so tiring. I owned 2 pairs and they are awesome. Not monitor like but musical and fun. And since the warranty is great, I think they are worth it. And I never paid more than 450 usd for a pair. The Miracles are worth the extra 500 to me, but that is because I can afford it.
