Guys,

Just a question, from more experienced users: what is the signature of the CKM500?

It's because in I'm love with this IEM, they just sound awesome to me, it was a really great purchase. But, I think in a future upgrade, and I'm just curious to know what signature to look for.

I'd classify the CKM as mid-emphasized, with decent bass and unoffensive trebles (after burn in). However, the biggest point is the intimacy -- it has a very intimate soundstage that feels physically encapsulating.

Hmm, thanks compoopers.

I thought that they are more like a V-shaped sound, it's far away from that, right?

To my ears, all I can say is that these have a full, vivid and bright sound, very pleasant to listen. And the detail is awesome.

With anything other than wide bore tips, I heard some recession on the lower mids, affecting male vocals mostly. If not for that, I would've keep them. Unfortunately, wide bore tips took away some little things that I liked about the overall bass and sound focus. I also think the midbass is definitely bumped up on these.

I read the whole thread in like 2 days, I want some universal dynamic iem after my hje 900 died, I stumble with this thread and I'm very interested in these AT, are the really in the Gr07 class? I was really interested in the Vsonic but they are 100 bucks more. I have my eye on the JVCs ftx 90 and the fxd 80 too.

I think you should really be looking at the FXD80.

The GR07s are much better than the CKM500 and the FXT90 (I owned all three)...to my ears at least.

The CKM500 can be a little too boomy at times.  The FXT90s highs were a too harsh for my tastes.

The GR07s are worth every penny I spent on them.

I actually want something with good bass and really confortable, something to complement my b2 because they are lacking in bass quantity (not quality) and I can't stand their fit, after a few hours of use I don't want to wear iems anymore and I hadn't have that problem before.

The ckm 500 are really inexpensive compare to the GR07 and even the FXT 90, I'm leaning towards the ATs and the FXD80, plus I am looking for a "fun" signature like the FA eterna and HJE 900 (had those before) but with better clarity and mids.

The ckm500 is comfortable. Also, if you like your HJE900, I think you will like the ckm, they are closer in sound sig compared to the other options listed. I never had the hje900 and ckm together at the same time, but  from memory I think their overall sound quality are not that far apart. The eterna on the other hand, is a completely different animal.
