Completely unrelated, but has anyone watched the Daryl Hall's House stuff? Some really awesome clips, this one's brilliant (speaking of 70s vibes).

Yes, I've seen this show....quite entertaining!

Warren and all others car shopping, hold off until this comes to the US in a few months. RWD, Pentastar 3.3L V6, pushrod suspension, 300bhp, 30MPG (a lot of 3s there):

Tell me, why Alfa is the only car manufacturer in the world who can make a 4-door, mid-range, passenger saloon look like pure pornography?

The price? No, not 60k, or 50, not even 40... $35k. I know I'm buying one.

If it will look like that when it'll be released, I will definitively be nursing a semi whenever I see one.
But then, I think it would be rare to see one in the flesh well apart on the side of the road on a cloud of steam which should be an occasional sight. :D

I know, I know. Alfa Romeo jokes are old now. They are fairly reliable now since they've been taken over by Fiat.

That's barely more than a loaded accord v6 coupe. Sign me up!

Okay, I guess that's a bad choice, just doesn't seem to be the sort of sports car that should be red, or black for that matter. Probably not keeping it, though, I'm not really thrilled with the way it drives, due to the longer wheelbase it's a lot like a late-90s Corvette (kinda looks like one too). We could likely do a lot of work with the suspension to make it more pliable, but then that would wreck the value. So, meh

Wait, what's wrong with black?  I'm actually having a hard time trying to think of a color that would go better... except maybe some kind of cold or bluish grey or silver?  Okay, maybe not.

Added to the list!  Thanks for that one.

Sadly, I think they're the only ones that give a schiit.

I think you're right. They don't care, except maybe Renault, but they don't sell in the US. Back to the Alfa, that's a big BRZ competitor, but better all the way around. Yes Obob, it's the same basic drivetrain, but re-tuned. There's also going to be a TT 4-cyl, but we may not get it in the States. Reliability shouldn't be an issue, there's a lot more QC, and fewer naps, at the AR factory, now.

Verde Auction was today, I almost missed it by oversleeping. Unfortunately, the Riviera got away from me, it climbed higher than I thought it was worth, at 48k. But, I did pick-up a neat little `62 389 Pontiac Grand Prix for the shop, or me, maybe. 44k miles, minimal restoration, all matching numbers:

Oh, and my wife bought a vintage Vespa scooter w/ original sidecar, because... No, that's what she actually said, "Because". :D It is a neat little thing.

Part of me wants a re-envisioned Lancia Delta.  Not the family car they've got out now, but a more rally-capable effort.  Something like this concept will do:

And is it just me, or would a re-envisioned AMC be something cool to have.  I'll take the Matador please.

Does she ever need a reason other than "because" with you?

The bugger is that she got into a bidding war with someone, which makes it worse, because she takes it personally and won't back down.

I'm not anti-religious in any way, but found this to be hilarious. I had to email it to our priest. LOL!!

No one likes the Grand Prix? Interesting.

I was about to, but the fuzzy dice killed it.

You know those are removable, right? :p

BTW, wasabi and toddlers do not mix. She somehow got some on her fingers from my plate, and of course it went in her mouth. Then, when she cried (we had no idea what was going on), she rubbed her eye. It's all better now, after some TLC, but boy was she unhappy. Luckily that stuff isn't oil-based and a wet washcloth took care of it, but I doubt she'll ever develop a love for spicy foods.

But they're like tied to the mirror with Nylon and stuff!  I guess your mechanic can probably get them off.

Aww, poor thing!

Yeah, everything's going in her mouth for a while.  That's her Tricorder at the moment, so everything is getting analyzed that way.
