IEM that has clarity with the best bass?

The kind of bass I really like but can't describe

I think you just like sub-bass, you know like... sub-100Hz cinematic... ~ssɐq~

Then again, who doesn't?

If you need someone to have heard the Kitsound bloomclock, Shure SE215 and the best IEM for cinematic sub-bass then you're out of luck.

Basically, want you want is a quality sub-woofer and a titanium tweeter, with THX surround sound.  I'm not sure if the TF10, FX500, Sony XBA-4 etc. will cut it for you, especially without an equalizer, so all your cards are dealt, you lost the poker game and you don't have the buy-in for the next 'round, you just gotta come back next week.

Lol... take that as the "deepest" bass. That's what I want. Simply the best bass possible in an IEM in my budget.

Yeah they are released there are people here that have them.

Sorry I haven't heard them yet but there is a sub-woof driver and tweeter driver (along with bass and full-range driver) so I think/hope it will serve your desires well, whereas most cheaper IEM's I don't think will satisfy you if you don't like the Shure SE215's you already have.

If you want to save some money, just go for the TF10 and try to get an equalizer to adjust the bass to your preferences.

Great recommendation. I guess I will just save up for one of those instead...
The problem with TF10's is the fit, and if I save money to get them reshelled then I can wear them over-the-ear only.

According to this frequency response chart the EPH-100 have almost 15db deep bass boost over the midrange, that should be more than sufficient for anyone except extreme bassheads. Considering the amount of bass boost, the Yamahas really sound surprisingly clear. On the other hand their microdrivers are pretty fast and you'll get longer decay and more texture from IEMs that are based on larger DDs, e.g. Atrios or Sony EX600.

So that's it what I am finding out that it's somewhat less fun from the EPH-100 comparing them to my coppers. They have amazing bass like the chart mentions but the decay its very fast and there its a sense less staying in the background resonance of the bass from when the sub bass hits. Its deep but the sensations are over quick. But the clarity and isolation that they provide are top notch. I notice more information its being transmitted on the recordings I am listening to.

Decay is a weakness more than a strength imo, you can't really get faster than the recording so you get close to it. This is how I will rate technical merit though, for enjoyment people do like the decay.

Trust me I know what digital clipping sounds like. =p

The FXC51 has better sub-bass it's true, sounding closer to a sub-woofer, most likely due to the driver material's (nano carbon w/e) inherent resonance and the fact the driver is actually in your ear canal which may increase bone conductivity.

Apart from sub-bass in this test, yes the Sony EX600 is a higher calibre IEM in almost all other departments, however it does lack inner soundspace which is annoying.

Did you have something like Advanced Limiter down the chain? That would hide clipping problems in the sense that the clipping indicator on the level meter wouldn't light and the clipping would be much less audible. With the settings shown, +12dB and no negative preamp, I just don't see how there could NOT be severe clipping. May have to play with that plugin myself if I have time to confirm.

Unfortunately the Westone 3s can't be worn straight-down which is not to my liking. But even if it could be worn straight-down, I couldn't afford it because it is way higher than my budget.

Are there any IEMs in my budget range that have some type of separate "subwoofer" to handle the bass without that much decrease in clarity?

And also, between the FXT90s - MG7 - Hippo VB which one has the best bass?

Only tried the FXT90 and MG7, not sure about the Hippo VB. Rumbling bass: FXT90. Deep bass: MG7. But to be honest, the FXT90s do have quite a lot of clarity. And it has one driver to handle bass and mids and the other to handle highs.

It really depends. Decay can show the naturalism of the bass. For example, I find very fast IEMs like the Brainwavz B2 to sound really fake and unreal because it doesn't have the decay.

I guess I will get alot deeper/better bass if I save up and get a pair of XBA-4s which have 2 drivers to handle the bass, wouldn't I? Or is there not much difference in an IEM?

While you're saving up for your dream phones why not put down $10 and get these: the Philips SHE3580

You'll have all the bass you want.  Plenty of people here vouch for their other sonic qualities too http://www.head-fi.org/t/586909/the-thermaltake-isurus-the-philips-she3580-the-iem-discovery-thread

Haha! I'm really impressed with that one.
But are you sure the bass will satisfy me? The SE215s bass didn't...
And also, do these leak sound?

Edit: Just ordered these for £8.95! :D Hope they don't turn out bad and satisfy me (a bit) until I have enough money to buy the Sonys.
