My iBasso PB2 amp and DB2 DAC combo FINALLY WORKS with the USB audio recorder!!

HALLELUJAH!!

Does anyone know if you can take the output of a DAC and connect it to the USB input on a car stereo?

Right now I'm using my UCA 202 DAC output to my Car Stereo using the AUX input.  But the AUX is on the front of my car stereo.  And there is a USB on the back.  So it would be a cleaner looking install if I could connect the DAC to the rear USB input instead of the front AUX.

Oh wow. Audioquest DragonFly works with USB Audio Recorder Pro connected via OTG USB to my Galaxy Note II, BUT, I cannot control volume. Anyone have ideas for controlling volume other than outputting from the DragonFly to an amp?

As far as I understand, you should require the developers of USB Audio Recorder PRO to implement the USB Human Interface Device volume control ("Info", "Email the developers").

hi guys.. i found out rather interesting thread over at xda-developer

will this kernel enable my xperia neo to act as transport to usb dac? it has usb OTG feature: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1566871

i would like to try this myself, but i don't have usb dac at the moment

Hi Danba. Which music formats have you got working with the recorder? It would be very exciting to be able to use it as the music player with formats up to 96/24. I have tried the USB Audio Recorder Pro with flac on Nexus 7/ FIIO e17. The program seems to recognize the DAC - but I cannot get it to play flac files  from that programme, but the N7 works with the 4.2.1 ROM and Faux kernel, however only when attached before you turn on the N7.

Not necessarily.  For instance, CyanogenMOD has USB-OTG but does not yet support DAC's.

I'm trying to get a new Fiio E07K to work with my Galaxy S3, but can't get it to work using via USB/OTG cable except for one brief time yesterday where Spotify was playing just fine for about a half hour, but when I tried later that night, it was no good. Here's what I can tell you:

- Stock Galaxy S3 on AT&T with Jelly Bean

- The E07K is recognized by the phone it can pass digital audio. I successfully tested this via USBAudioTester app (GS3's mic input passed through dac to headphones via OTG).

- Music Player: It looks like it is trying to play, but the track time counts up way too quickly.

- Spotify: Not sure what I did, but I was able to get Spotify to play via OTG for about 1/2 hour yesterday. All other attempts before and after failed. No sound plays.

- Pandora: No sound, just immediately keeps skipping tracks over and over

I should also mention that two others reported getting the E07K to work with a GS3 on a different thread here. What am I missing? Obviously it CAN pass the audio, but something is not right. As a last resort, I tried it immediately after a factory restore... no luck, so it doesn't appear to be a conflicting setting.

I got it to work - did not recognize the button to choose music format.. It plays 16 bit music fine, but it distorts 96/24 files, even if it triggers the FIIO to choose that. Hopefully the developers just need some time to solve that.

Are you sure of your USB OTG cable?

You could test it with a USB mouse.

As CZ Eddie, I don’t think this kernel supports USB audio.

Yes, the OTG cable works, and the GS3 CAN recognize the E07K. I know this because I ran an app called USBAudioTester which identified it as Fiio USB DAC-E07K. When I select that as my device, I can run a test called "int Mic to ext Speaker". This test takes any sounds picked up by the Galaxy S3 mic and sends them out via USB. When I snap my fingers or knock on the desk, I hear it a split second later through the headphones. So the device can be recognized and process audio via OTG. It's just that any music player I throw at it does not work. It does work on my iPad via Camera Connection kit, and it also works on my computer via USB.
