In the end, you are simply pointing out how things sound to you. So I don't know why people tend to disagree and get all bent out of shape. If I hear them one way, and you hear them another, then which of us is objectively right and which is wrong? Neither of course! We just hear them differently. Though in this case, we agree, so that makes it easier.

I too feel that the ASG-1 is treading on entry level custom territory. But that isn't too strange, because it's more like a custom pretending to be a universal.

Going to place my order today and thanks for all the great reviews. I'm going to go with the universals as I haven't had a good pair of headphones in a while, I break/ lose them frequently, so I think I'll hold off on customs until I get used to the sounds of these and after I've demonstrated I can hold onto expensive things :p. I was about to go for the GR07 but wanted something with a slightly smoother sound and a bit more bass and sub bass and these seem to fit the bill perfectly. Thanks ericp10 for your comparison as yours were the comments that did me and my wallet in. Though, if I'm happy I know who I'm blaming  jk.

Cute, I usually use the large Comply. They only have medium Comply in that new circular shape Ts500. How round or wide is that? You think the medium will work for me too?

Just placed my order for the ASG-1 too. Any idea if the metal plate will be available anytime soon? Or if it is even possible for us to purchase it and install it ourselves.

I normally use large or medium in most tips, depending on the IEM.  The Ts tips are fat in the center, so they don't need deep insertion.  They are designed to fit the correct part of the ear canal.  I use them on Hifiman RE272 and TF 10 as well, and they feel like an earfull on those as well.  Shotgunshane replied that he would need a large in the Ts, as he has tried them in medium.  They are firm fresh out of the pack, but if you roll them to compress the center before you insert, body heat expands them to seal.  Another thing I do, is not to push them too far on to the nozzle.  I prefer depth from nozzle to tip, for example, if you look at the tip of the nozzle on the TF 10, or RE262/272, I slide them on to the first little shoulder on the nozzle.  You can see that if you look closely at to TF10 nozzle, on the RE262/272, I push them on the cover the silver part of the nozzle!

@ericp10, they fit exactly the same as the large clear silicone tips that I sent you to try!

Hope this helps those that intend to use the Ts Complys!

Purchased mine today and should be here early next week. Matt from springtree was great and that was the fastest order I've ever placed. Very curious to see how I'll like these as I've typically favored balanced armatures more than dynamic. Though these sounds like they are quick and have some BA properties to them. Will be posting impressions of them as well as hopefully comparisons to my friends earsonics SM3's which I also like a lot.
