So far my choices are:
Meelectronic SP51
Sony MDR-XB41
Radius Atomic Bass 2

I am a HUGE bass lover and I prefer alot of bass in my headphones, the more overpowering the better :) I want to know which earbud will have the deepest thumping bass.
Answers are very much appreciated!

I am pretty familiar with all of those monitors as we carry each of them in our store.  Personally, I would opt for the Atomic Bass.  Another option around the same price range would be the A jays one.

I know it's kind of a FOTM, and I also know it sounds crazy. But the Phillips SHE3580 has better bass extension than almost any budget IEM I've heard. It also somehow does it without getting too flabby.

here's a thread going on right now where quite a few of us have weighed in on them, but I don't know if crossposting is allowed in this forum. Just look for "The Thermaltake Isurus..Rebranded Audio Technica? And the Philips SHE3580..Substantial finds!" in this forum.

Really? Are the Radius atomic bass's deeper bass than the extreme port on the SP51's?

According to this measurement at goldenears.net, the bass on these babies just go up... and up... right down to the extreme of human hearing:

A superimposition with the Sennheiser IE8... (from a chart found in the same page)... if these measurements can be trusted, these have less mid-bass (that the IE8 is known to have too much of) and more sub-bass than the IE8 at max bass setting:

(the SHE3580 left and right channels are blue and red, the Sennheiser IE8 is grey and black)

Well, either one is a good headphone, and I am a huge fan of the ME Electronics products.  On low bass response only, the SP 51's on the extreme port are likely better, albeit that is fine line judgement.

Personally, I think the extreme position on the SP 51's overpowers mid bass and the mid-range somewhat while the base tuning on the Atomic Bass holds up very well and results in an overall better balanced sound, with good bass.  To use a likely very poor analogy, it is like comparing Beats Solo to the Soul SL300.  To my ears, the Beats go lower, but are muddier throughout the frequency spectrum.  The Soul, while there are better sounding headphones at the same price, outshines the Beats in their price and (fashion) preference positioning.

Another thing to consider is fit.  It is our experience that regardless of what tips are used, the AT Bass are more comfortable for a wider range of ears than the SP 51's- and to be fair, the ME Electronics M31 is probably one of the most comfortable, best "fitting" in ears I have encountered from any source for under $80 bucks or so.

Of course, the best comparison is listening to both.  Absent that, I do think you will be happy with either if bass is your goal.

Yup, while having some sort of mids and treble. The SP51 sounds incredibly grainy in comparison. It easily goes down to 20hz.

So the XePorts have more powerful thumping bass than the SP51's?

From what I can tell yes, and it's cleaner. I do wonder how exactly the XePorts are so good. They're much better than the top tier 7010.

I'd also suggest the Xeport 5010. Hard to imagine a basshead on a budget being disappointed by them! With the black plates, the bass is HUGE.
