Had a mechanics test today. It was harder than I expected. $%@!.
I'll do some extra studying on that subject this weekend. All the subjects are relatively easy, but mechanics is something I'm having quite a bit of trouble with.

Shinsekai yori ep2 is a bit "wha??". Also that boring narrating is starting to piss me off. I mean this is what I think: the director doesn't seem to know how to tell the info in a mysterious wa... wait! Lets narrate it to them! YEAH THAT'LL WORK.

I couldn't find anything else that was good at RS Components without the teeth on the side. The teeth on the side/curved surface of the knobs/cylinders make me cringe.

Which reminds me:

I'll seriously need to do something about my potentiometer/pot in my B22. Right now it's an abomination:



The pot behind it isn't fastened to the case, because I have no idea how I would do that with this pot.
Furthermore, the knob is way too small for the case. But that is a mistake easily made since it's quite difficult to judge sizes when ordering stuff online.


I fail.

Who knows if they'd even be the right size anyway? Besides it'd probably look really weird to have an exact Schiit knob on the project wouldn't it? I doubt it's texture would match the case at all...

If we're going for a brushed look on metal, it will probably work fine. The other idea is to use the knob as the center and have brushed circles around the volume knob like ripples but that's too complicated probably for the manufacturers in HK, or just too troublesome.

To me, it seems to have the same somewhat slow start that Steins;Gate has.

Also, remember that I said BMF sent me the T50RP Care Package? That also includes a shure 840 (or whatever) pads. I think I'm crazy, insane, drunk and stupid right now, but dear god I think I'm hearing a lot of things I missed before while I was using the stock pads, Sony SA5000 pads, beyer gel pads and angled gel pads, all with different state of mods internally.

Hm, the Schiit looks more sand-blasted or something like that maybe? It looks really weird in my head at least...
 
That ripple idea could probably look really cool, but I think you forget too oft that this is just a more budget-oriented DIY project...I love centered knobs though. I'd be willing to do that either way, provided we're still able to lay all the rest of the stuff out in an orderly fashion.

I didn't think it was at all as slow as the beginning of Steins;gate either. The animation/art wasn't as mind-numbingly bland to look at either. I barely made it through ep 1. I wanted to drop half way through, haha.
