OK so I know this is one of those annoying questions where I could most likely find the answer if I dig enough, but I've spent so much time reading already and I don't have the time right now... Can someone briefly describe what differences I might expect to hear in the v7 drivers from the original v1's that I still have? I got them WAY back when they first came out, with a magnum lite mod on my 325is (all metal cup and housing but original gimbals headband etc), and they've been a favorite headphone of mine ever since. For the price I'm curious about trying the v7 but would like some idea of the sound if that's possible. Is anyone out there who has heard the older versions and the newer? Thanks

they are a bit cheaper than the V6 which i bought two pairs of last year at $99 each (after shipping/tracking it was around $110 or $115 USD)

i'd wager  the reason the price has come down is the fact that there are other boutique brands competing for your money/business (i.e. nhoord and ypsilion) who either weren't there or weren't as well known in the community then as they are now). either way $75 is a phenomenal price for any pair of symphones magnums

The V1 sounded, to me, like a more-resolving pair of 325i's. The later models all have a lot more bass, more like the old PS1.  The impression I get is that one of the other driver makers has created something more in line with the original V1 Magnum, going by what I've read on the other build threads.

Where can I get the wooden insert for V7? My 325i left headphone died today and I'm planning to order the v7 driver.

Thanks

gorgeous so far! the 325 cups look incredible with the aluminum rodblocks and gimbals and black leather headband
were you able to source some mahagony (or similar wood) inner sleeves for them?

Thanks. I'm still hunting the older 325 or ms2 cups for the next build. No luck for the woody inner sleeves. I'll just use the metal one for now.
