Does IE80 sounds good with iPod Touch 5? I'm currently using VModa M80 with Touch 5 and it's really good. But i've been using M80 for quite a long time so i decide to try for something new. I listen to all kind of music, Dance, Pop, Metal,... but mostly is old Pop song, like those from Westlife, BSBs,.... and some "audiophile" songs. I really love M80 sounds, imo it's better than GR07 and i'm still happy with it. Hope u guys can help me :D

i ve been using my IE80s for about 6 months..( until recently the sound tube came loose , still in the warranty process though ) and all the tym my source was a Ipod Classic 7G.. ran very smoothly.. May be a bit more over smoothly.. i don't see much of issue , unless u really need to unleash the mid's on these.. then we are very greatly recommend u to go for a hI sound Roco p or a Roco BA.. but these players had some hissing issues with IE80's...

so as for ur question yes it will sound no bad with a Ipod touch 5...

Just received my silver [Silver + 1% Gold (26/50)] cable from plussound.
I find that the entire sound spectrum got a bit of a push. A little bit more towards Mid Frequencies and a substantial amount the Low Freuqencies.
I would say they synergize well with the IE80s sound signature, however the bass prominent headphones just got bassier (if there is such a word >.>).
Its like i removed the tape mod and turned it the dial all the way up...
Any1 know how i can alter the bass levels without using EQ?

For $260, I don't know if i should be sad or content...  Well at least i now have a better cable to show ( -_-).
Hoping the upcoming Studio V will balance this out.

** Can someone tell me about their experience with IE80s + Silver Cable?

Do the tape mod and dont ask how to do it... just look at this threads image gallery , ull find a ie80 covered with black tape... hopefully u will understand how to apply em lol.. this method will put a simile on ur face... and tame the bass down.. ( close the bass vent tightly..)
