...damn, I was gonna appeal to CB and my mutual appreciation for Beats, but it looks like you got me there. You dirty SOB.

We often think of headphone designers as hunchbacked old nerds with dust in the creases of their faces.  Here we see one of our own, cb3712, actually share with the creative process that leads to those audio harnesses into which we yoke our heads.

I would like to sign up to purchase Serial Number One of this soon-to-be-even-better-than-Beats-not-to-mention-Orpheus (the STBEBTBNTMO) series.  I will be happy to write my application on the face of a $100 bill if you tell me where I need to mail it!

Don't worry, you've already been hand picked to be part of our beta test group and will be receiving the very first production model to roll out of my garage...err, I mean manufacturing facility and get to keep your beta pair in addition wink.gif

Keep an eye out for a UPS package arriving with you soon...ish wink.gif

Hey, I wasn't gonna leave a bro hangin now wink.gif - nothing to do with you being an ex bouncer neither confused_face.gif

But pretty amazing interest so far in these new cans- do you think its premature to start putting together a buy out proposal to AUDEZE?

Pff if you want to aim low. Look at the craftsmanship in those bad boys. Let them come to YOU.

Is it OK to also point out the most overrated headphone accessories on this thread?  If so...

Apparently a new product, costing several thousand dollars, is being introduced at the headphone meet "ChiUniFi" happening this Saturday, in Chicago.

I think we need to back up a moment though and remember that "overpriced" and "overrated" are very, very different things. If something costs ten grand and everyone agrees it's bad, it's not overrated.

Well that answers the question of why they're called "cans".

I can't tell with the protective wrappers on ... do those things have special corregations / noise-diffusing baffles on the cylinders ?

Oh, yeah.....yeah, naturally we've all that you just mentioned.....and in addition we've the worlds first zero gravity drivers for peerless timing and speed achieved by each driver mounted on a tourbillon which is housed in an acoustic chamber....but I've probably said too much already, ahem, but....err, oh - this is the track below, we've selected for our launch event, naturally it's a reflection of the sophisticated demographic prospective discerning customer that appreciates hi-tech sonics in a subtle svelte form factor - think James Bond on a black stallion unicorn and you get the idea of just how uber cool this cans appeal is going to be and so much moar wink.gif

Well, with reviews like whathifi giving the T50p a 100% 5 star flawless rating review - you may have a point? wink.gif

Surely nothing's perfect without flaw to get full marks ? biggrin.gif
