I would like to state, right here and right now, publically in this forum of 21,176 users (and an uncountable number of unregistered guests) that I have just been granted the privilege of entering the birthing room to see a headphone spawned before my very eyes.

We often think of headphone designers as hunchbacked old nerds with dust in the creases of their faces.  Here we see one of our own, cb3712, actually share with the creative process that leads to those audio harnesses into which we yoke our heads.

I would like to sign up to purchase Serial Number One of this soon-to-be-even-better-than-Beats-not-to-mention-Orpheus (the STBEBTBNTMO) series.  I will be happy to write my application on the face of a $100 bill if you tell me where I need to mail it!

Don't worry, you've already been hand picked to be part of our beta test group and will be receiving the very first production model to roll out of my garage...err, I mean manufacturing facility and get to keep your beta pair in addition

Keep an eye out for a UPS package arriving with you soon...ish

:D

But pretty amazing interest so far in these new cans- do you think its premature to start putting together a buy out proposal to AUDEZE?

Pff if you want to aim low. Look at the craftsmanship in those bad boys. Let them come to YOU.

I think we need to back up a moment though and remember that "overpriced" and "overrated" are very, very different things. If something costs ten grand and everyone agrees it's bad, it's not overrated.

Well that answers the question of why they're called "cans".

I can't tell with the protective wrappers on ... do those things have special corregations / noise-diffusing baffles on the cylinders ?

Oh, yeah.....yeah, naturally we've all that you just mentioned.....and in addition we've the worlds first zero gravity drivers for peerless timing and speed achieved by each driver mounted on a tourbillon which is housed in an acoustic chamber....but I've probably said too much already, ahem, but....err, oh - this is the track below, we've selected for our launch event, naturally it's a reflection of the sophisticated demographic prospective discerning customer that appreciates hi-tech sonics in a subtle svelte form factor - think James Bond on a black stallion unicorn and you get the idea of just how uber cool this cans appeal is going to be and so much moar
