I'm not sure why you're worried about awkwardness when you're willing to carry an amp with a Sansa Clip, but you could always get a right-angle plug.

I am planning to get the Sansa Clip+ and pair it with iBasso D2+ boa as my portable rig set up. But i cant help but notice the headphone jack of the Clip+ is actually at the side, not top nor bottom. If i plug in a mini-mini interconnect between the Clip+ and the D2+ boa, wont the cable be in a very awkward position? I mean, comparing to fuze where it heaphone jack is at the bottom. If any one of you have similar set up, mind to post a couple of photos here?

thanks

Anyone else run into this wierd problem??

Everytime I charged or transfer files into my rockboxed clip+ the firmware goes back to sansa firmware. It's getting pretty annoying. Anyone has similiar problems?? What can I do to keep the rockbox firmware when charing or transfering files?

Yeah, mine does it too after a drag and drop.  Just turn it off.  When it comes back on, it's rockboxed again.

You'll have to wait for the devs to finish finalizing the USB support.

This is not a "weird problem" per se.....it's a known status.http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/SansaAMS

Just got my Clip+ 8 GB and was thinking about rockboxing it. Could rockboxing it mess up my Clip+ in any way? Will I be able to switch back to Sansa's default setup if I don't like rockbox?

1. Not that that they know of.
2. Yup. Though if you're at all nervous about doing this sort of thing, maybe you shouldn't.

Rockboxing your clip shouldn't damage it in any way. The danger of "bricking" a player is present mostly during the developmental stages. Now that rockbox is stable, I can all but guarantee you that nothing will happen.

As for switching back to the stock firmware, yes you can still use it. With RB installed, it is the default firmware that you boot with. To load the stock firmware all you need to do is hold down "left" on the pad while turning it on. That will load stock firmware. If you end up not liking RB, you'll be stuck having to hold down "left" to load the original firmware, but it is certainly usable. Though once you get used to rockbox, there really isn't any going back.

Especially with the Clip+ and Fuze....they are so much better with it, I never use the OF anymore, unless I am testing something to answer a question in a forum.

I'm loading tunes on mine now, can't wait to test the SQ on it.

To me, it sounds just like the V2 Fuze, which I'm sure you remember.
