You can get priority mail with full tracking and insurance for $25 from USPS. If you had done that, they could probably find your package, and it would be insured as well. If you buy the insurance and they lose it, they'll pay you back the claimed value. So I think it's the tracking and insurance that are important, not necessarily the company you use.

That said, I sent mine without tracking and insurance also, so I'm counting on a bit of luck.

I have always had luck when the package doesn't look like a small stack of money! (<-- when in fact that small stack is just photos) I guess people still send out stacks of money nowadays

I was told the best they can do is registered mail. That tracking won't work once its out of the US. As for insurance, I got that, and am ready to use it, but I read it will take several months and possibly quite a bit of fighting to get the money back. Obviously not something I wanted to go through when I just originally wanted the IEMs delivered so I could finally have decent music again

Appreciation threads, not review threads. I've only started two, one for Custom MOnitors made by UM, and one for remolding service. There's definitely information in the threads though, soon there will be in this thread when me and mistertomlinson get our Quads.

I swear I will post mine, for the QUADS, as long as I can find an audiologist in Toronto that doesn't charge $140 for the earmold impression

I HATE THE USPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stupid guy at the Post Office said First Class to China from US would take about a week. It's been over two weeks and UM still hasn't gotten my impressions. I swear, there isn't a day that goes by where I don't open my order form to look at my artwork and mockup of what my customs should look like... and double check everything making sure I haven't forgotten a single detail. I have every penny sitting in my checking account just dying to be given to them... but I can't do anything but wait. *Sigh.

Seriously call around. I checked the yellow pages online and started at the top of the list in my city. Don't hesitate to call hearing aid specialists. It didn't take but a few calls for me to find "Beltone," a hearing aid distributor literally less than a mile from my house who was willing to make my impressions at NO CHARGE. Just keep calling EVERYONE in your area.

Yes do that. I was lucky to find a cheap, reputable, and awesome clinic to take impressions at.

Be sure to check out his "review" of the ES3X vs. JH10X3 that has been posted for about a month now.

i find that statement very disrespectful. You keep rambling on about threads that say "review" in the title and have no review. I have clearly stated the review is in progress, what is there to complain about? I have taken my time to take pictures for all to enjoy and look at while i am working on the review...all you say is "They should ban threads that say there is a review but don't have one"

I was reading what you wrote in the other thread... what makes you think your impressions and IEMs are lost in the mail? Do you assume that because it's taking so long or did someone at USPS tell you so? It may make you feel a little better, last time I spoke to Sam about my package taking so long, he asked someone at EMS (China Post) and they told him it USUALLY takes 3-4 weeks to get a package from US to China First Class. So, I'm willing to bet yours will arrive any day now. I wouldn't get discouraged yet, if I were you. I'll admit though, I really thought my impressions would be there sometime this week, but considering how long yours are taking, I guess I should expect a longer wait.
