Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread

Use my TF10's (reshelled as customs) with a Fiio E07K DAC/Amp  and also with a Fiio X3 in DAC only mode (as well as a standalone DAP). Both of these setups compliment the TF10 very well.

The TF10 is easy to drive, and will sound well with almost any source, but amping it, can improve it still further.

Yes I do agree about that however if you own a good dap like a X3, DX50, DX100, HM901, etc the gains of an amp will be minimal depending on which dap as some are better than others.

I'd rather push my TF10's with my RSA Hornet over my phone, but honestly I've found that the gains are minimal compared to switching sources entirely from say a phone, to a desktop amp with low gain or an impedance adapter.

The best synergy I heard with TF10 was using a silver plated cable and C&C BH amp connected to Colorfly CK4 with a pure silver interconnect.

Btw: I know someone in Canada who's looking to sell a pair in top condition, don't think he's asking terribly much for them, just let me know I'll give you his profile.

I know UE has a cable with a mic but it's not aftermarket and I think it only works for iphones.

It's been a while since I sat down with the TF10s for a good listening sesh. Out of the C&C BH they are just shining. My only issue is that I seem to have a problem with my right ear and it's almost like it's a significant deal smaller than my left so it starts to bother me. I wish I had the equivalent to these in Headphones.

It's a known issue with the TF10, I don't think there is anything wrong with your TF10 or your ear for that matter :)

Do yourself a favor and get the Earsonics SM3v2

I have the 900 and the UM3X and unless the 4 is a big departure from the sonic signature I love the SM3v2 the best.

Is there an aftermarket cable + mic for the SMv2? If that's the case I will be all over them!

Not anything I make lol.. but the UE one for TF10vi should work in a pinch.. um Shure builds this little doodad that seems like it'd work but honestly I just switch headsets, also if you're just in the car, bluetooth is fine :)
