I've heard quite a few high end speakers or 'giants' and think these are no slouch.

I'd really like to have a set of B&W 805 (I mention these since the TAD seems to be copying them) to set beside my friends TAD speakers to see just how much more you get with the extra $2,200. I've heard the 805 hooked up to unobtanium gear (for most of us) and really don't think they sounded much, if any, better, but side by side may shed some serious light - and I really hope it would.

If you are on a budget you simply can't go wrong. I would love to hear other speakers that sound as good in the same price range.

You will find that emailing Paul with any pricing concerns usually ends up in your favor.

The 805s are NOT giant killers lol. They are extraordinarily good for the $$ though. Yes they are basically single drivers with the tweeter doing the top 10%(I think) of the highs only.

Paul is a good guy with a GREAT sense of humor and really good products for a decent price.

His amps are actually reviewed and very highly thought of on audiogon. The speaker thing is very new and in development. Fit and finish is good enough for Wife Approval too lol.

He is pretty silly I Ordered all the speakers monday so I am hoping by friday I will be living in true audio bliss. Plus I have only heard my system with a decent but cheap Cerwin Vega Center and I am hoping this TAD center will be better in SQ if not it is asthetically gorgeous.

It will be better than the CV I can promise that. Be sure to let them "Settle in" for a bit. I think it takes at least a week before they get broken in. They continue to get better until they hit their plateau with whatever level that your setup will allow them to reach.

Oh and finally it is nice to get some positive feedback! I was so bummed with people doubting my opinion. Really did hurt my feelings. I try to share the wealth when I find a budget-fi gem like TAD. There is no benefit for me beyond hooking people up with good, affordable sound waves lol.

This sub is f'in incredible and I have it just sitting in my room not in the corner till my subwoofer cable comes from parts express. The center has so much more pronounced midrange than the Cerwin I have. The 805s are set up as rear speakers and sound wicked in 7 channel stereo Although once I get my Sansui fixed I may use em for my computer speakers not sure yet. Thanks for the heads up on this deal Spaceman I am friggin stoked to listen to music outside of my headphones again and they look absolutely gorgeous.

As for the psuedo single driver system reference I agree I am actually quite surprised at how high these drivers go in terms of frequency.

I haven't had this much fun with my setup in well over a year it seem I am going out of my way to listen to music at home.
