spooky, eerie soundtrack/musical score recommendations?

Also, Angelo Badalamenti's soundtracks always has a creepy undertone, even during the pretty bits. His work for Lynch has been amazing. Check out Mulholland Drive, Lost Highway, and of course Twin Peaks (as well as both the Julee Cruise CDs).

I don't know about spooky, but Selected Ambient Works Volume II by Aphex Twin is very eerie (I believe James - Aphex Twin - referd to it as like being in a power plant on acid). That is of course if you like that particular brand of ambient.

Techno remix of the main "Phantom of the Opera" theme. Not outright scary, just scary in the more classic sense (esp. with the organs

Some computer game ones:

Quake OST - Trent Reznor

Diablo2 - Matt Ulmen(I think).

Both can play tricks with your mind in the dark.

These guys do a very nice job, (based on Silent Hill OSTs, which I recommend as well):

So it seems that they're redoing their website though and all the soundtracks are not there yet. I have them around somewhere, so I'll host them on soulseek if I find them (if you want them, that is...).
