. Sounds like there might be a HD650/Zu at this meet so that would be another opportunity to compare the cables. There is a very slight chance I can make this meet. I'll update next week.

I would be bringing everything in my sig, and hopefully the Prehead Prototype I won in the Meier Audio Katrina raffle will arrive by then as well. utep10 beat me to it, but he is invited as well and I will have a Zu with me for your comparo. I can aslo bring a Philips CDP/CD burner if we just need more sources.

As far as the location goes, I think we should figure out the date and time and when we know how many people can make it we can decide where would be the best spot.

Sorry to be such a wrench-meister for you! I don't know what difference it will make in your decisionmaking but I would wait if I had the opportunity to hear something first (at least only a week away, that is).

lol no problem. I just hope Mikhail doesn't go nuts on me for taking so long to order.

But then again, I can't justify spending $1400 without hearing it first.

the 22 works for me too.

Sounds like that is the day that works best

i'll bring my ppa, HP3000, HF1, MS1 woodies and my powerbook with M-audio Fast Track Pro, which will hopefully come out by then.

If we do it at my place the Mackies will be here, but I dont think I'll be bringing them anywhere.

I could start a list of those of you who can make it in the first post so we can keep track of how many people might be there. and maybe I'll try to get an equipment list going.

We are seeming so organizized all of a sudden. October 22 sounds good for people and maybe we should shoot for starting sometime in the afternoon. This will be cool.

Come on, Santa Rosa isn't that far! Now, if you are you in Tokyo, that is a different story...
