p.s. One of their biggest DRAWBACKS is the power is on the weaker side. Most need amps if you truly want to push them with power, but mostly, I use them amped or unamped.

Yeah, between short nozzles, which make fit tricky, and the extreme swing between the two nozzle sound sigs (I wish there was a middle ground nozzle), I just prefer to put them to bed for awhile.

Funny you mention the wooden box, because I just placed the Oriveti OD200 in the box just now. Listened to that Slash album with them, and though I really enjoyed the visceral feeling of the OD200, I prefer other things, they lack air with the silver filter, but the black filter gives them too...

That A17 is such an unsung hero. My portable buddy, but no slouch in technicalities. My old one died after 8 years in 2023, so I immediately went into the market and replaced it. Year 9 with one of these in my possession.

Well, one seems to have that special sauce Elysian treble, and the other one seems to have tamer more rolled off treble according to the graphs and comments, so I'd say if you love your treble, the Noir might be your pick, and if you're someone that like more bass with less emphasis on the top...

I use the gold nozzle on my EA500LM. At first it gave me too much Moondrop Harman, but the other nozzle gave me just too much mid energy, so going back to the gold nozzle, and getting brain burn in, I enjoy it quite a bit.
