That's an excellent question. One has the discrete amp and less power while the other has THX (clinical sound potentially) and heaps of power plus what looks like an excellent DSP ability. I am also looking at the K19 or the Aune S9c Pro BT.

Some of the gear sold here in audiophile land is totally ridiculous in price.

I had to remind myself today was April 1st. Considering this is Head-fi and lots of hi-end audio is expensive, something like this is not a total stretch. I am waiting for Flagship phones to be around 10k very soon as the new normal.

I agree, at this stage just make it a desktop version and then with the increased size all op amps from all manufacturers will now fit. The amp stage could be made all discrete and swap-able as well. The idea could be reversed. Make the additional power supply a huge battery when and if you need...

@Resolve, I get the feeling that while you like these phones, you don't REALLY like them. What phones would you get aside or as an alternative to these and why? Also how do these compare to say the ZMF closed back fare Bass wise, which hits harder? Thank you.
