Vali Clipping/Popping Noise
Must be something wrong with your amp. I use the Vali and HD650s everyday for the past six months and have never heard it do anything bad. Also no noise or popping or clipping ever. I love this combo.- Jimmyjo

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
I have both the Magni and the Vali. I've listened to both for many hours and sometimes can't decide the better of the two. Both drive the 650 very easy. The Magni sometimes sounds more powerful and then the Vali just seems to hit the sweet spot. Both sound great to me. If I had to give one up I...- Jimmyjo

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
Just ordered some HD650s minutes ago to replace my very old and broken HD555s. The headband on the 555s broke years ago. I super glued it and used two tie straps to hold it together (ugly job) and now the other side has a crack and looks like it's going to break soon. I'm hoping the 650 is an...- Jimmyjo

So what are the latest budget headphones people are fawning over?
Quote: And yet another for the Sony V6. On my second pair just recently purchased. Use mine at home hooked to a Magni amp. They don;t need an amp but seem to sound better with one. They caused me to put away my M50s maybe for good.- Jimmyjo

Wearing Comply tips in reverse
I have the Hifiman RE-262s and have been trying every tip they included. The only tip that gives me the fit and sound from these are the large black tips. The only problem is after an hour or so they become uncomfortabe. I've been thinking of getting the Comply TS-400 tips for these. Has anyone...- Jimmyjo

Reply to review by 'jimmyjo' on item 'AKG K340 Electrostatic-Dynamic Headphones'
I got my AKG K340s back in the early 80s. Mine look like new but I need to locate the rubber bands for the head set. I think these are pretty special in that you can forget your listening to headphones. There like speakers for your ears.- Jimmyjo

Audio-Technica ear phones
I am new here as well and just learning as well. My ATH -M50s now have about two hundred hours of listening and just now really starting to impress me much more than when new. I had some comfort issues when new but a couple days of getting stretched over one of my speakers about seven inchs wide...- Jimmyjo

I have a pair of these that I bought on a whim from Amazon. First off they are nice looking headphones. Now for the sound. I find them very unacceptable. I have done the burn in as per there instruction. They can really boom the bass in right into the midrange, they have what there people tell...- Jimmyjo

What are the oldest pair of headphones you still own?
Quote: My AKG K340s I bought in the early 80s are also in great shape except I need some new elastic bands for them. Does anyone know where to find them? Yesterday I listened to Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds Live at Radio City blu-ray over them. I have four other headphones including some...- Jimmyjo

WORST headphone you ever heard?
JLAB Bombora. I found these on Amazon and in a moment of weakness bought them on one of there lightning deals. Nice looking headphones. Kind of look like Skullcandy Aviators. Had some good reviews but don't have good sound at all. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these. For the same money...- Jimmyjo

Sony MDR-V6 - Did I make the right choice?
I ordered these from Amazon Thanksgiving day for $39.99. I owned a pair of these for many years and when the ear pads just went I just got rid of them. How dumb I had no idea that fixing them could be so easy so when I found them for forty dollars I was real happy to have another pair. Also...- Jimmyjo
