A given kgsshv (carbon) has its PSU set for +/-450V IIRC. How much that matters vs. other considerations is a different question.

Head-Fi Meet - Toronto GTA (Markham), Sunday June 25, 2023

I'll try and make it. If possible I'll bring a DIYT2, but no guarantees on that. Don't have any flavor of stax omega on hand anymore so I'd have to rely on others to bring some stax to run off of it.

New Posts Toronto GTA Meet January 2017 with Cayin! Impressions,Reviews and Pics!

Had a great time, thanks to Paul for hosting & everyone else for coming out and bringing all their setups. There never seems to be enough time in the end, but I did get a chance to listen to a number of 'phones for the first time. I can't really pass judgement that'd be all that useful as it's...

Been quite a while since I've posted an amp I've built here, so here's a carbon I've finished recently.

It's the earlier version of the CCS. The cascode CCS boards are slightly larger. It would be a very tight fit in that chassis.

Pretty sure he means the ability to deal in the used market, not build amplifiers.   Speaking of builds, I'm still troubleshooting this but it does play music.

Probably, I got the chassis from georgep (who's been nothing but helpful with my build).   Yea, I kept the delrin rod just in case. But the stainless steel doesn't bend at either extreme of the RK50's rotation.
