Hisoundaudio Golden Crystals Review
nice. i'm still happy i went for the original ones though, as this review sounds like they wouldn't quite suit me. is the isolation on these the same as the original ones?- princesultan

Review: Sunrise Xcited and Xcape Impressive Edition
Quote: So can I assume thAt you no longer give these a 10/10 like you did the v1's? Too bad. These looked like everything I was looking for. From what I'm reading the shures aren't for me.- princesultan

Review: Sunrise Xcited and Xcape Impressive Edition
Quote: Wow. This is making my decision that much harder. I'd obviously want sound quality as a top priority but you've pretty much scared me out of the IE'sdue to apparent problems with quality. Isolation is so pretty important to me, the sound signatuRe of the IE's just sounded...- princesultan

Review: Sunrise Xcited and Xcape Impressive Edition
Quote: i had the exact same question. can you elaborate as to why one should choose the crystal or the xcape IE over the other? also, which is better for isolation (i'd like them for long haul flights). i would be listening to electronic music at around 125bpm but really don't want...- princesultan

The Etymotics HF5 Thread
Quote: not really a club like sound, because that would maybe give too much emphasis on the lows i guess? i think i need something analytical (even though i've never head an analytical iem) for my dj work on the go, but at the same time i need something that's good for all around...- princesultan

The Etymotics HF5 Thread
Quote: ok, so do you think based on my description above these would suit me? i do like bass impact too, but again, everything in moderation. it just needs to exist, doesn't have to be overly abundant, lol.- princesultan

The Etymotics HF5 Thread
i've read this entire thread and i must say it's convincing me to get a pair. i have the cx300's which are pretty bad all around. i'm new to this whole iem thing but definately love good sound. i think that the hf5's MAY suit me but i'm really worried about what i'm reading about regarding the...- princesultan

Recommend me some IEM's for an airplane - specific needs
Quote: I think you're probably right. I am using jokers thread as a guide but I'm still between a couple, namely the crystals, xcape IE , possibly hf5's, possible a151, with the 1st 2 at the top of my list.- princesultan

Quote: reviews for that seem pretty solid! wow, i really can't seem to narrow it down. is it fair to say i need a armature and not dynamic driver? i really don't know as this is my 1st iem.- princesultan

Recommend me some IEM's for an airplane - specific needs
Quote: well basically, studio monitors are used for audio production. the main quality of studio monitors is that the sound is flat so that when you're producing a track, you get to hear the track exactly how it is intended with absolutely no color. here's an example of one of my pairs...- princesultan

Looking for an IEM for my style of music & purposes ~ 100$ or less
hey mark2410, i read your review about the crystals (very good might i add!) and 1 thing that scares me is how you mention how bassy they are. you also say you're not a basshead though. i certainly am not a basshead, i don't think i have a preference actually, i like lows, mids & highs equally i...- princesultan

Looking for an IEM for my style of music & purposes ~ 100$ or less
Quote: Thanks. I've been reading qUite a bit on those and they're at the top of the list at the moment. The only thing is that they're only available at 1 store in uk and with shipping they're like 140$. They also might be detailed enough for what I'm looking for, but then...- princesultan

Quote: those peaked my interest as well, but read a lot of complaints about them being built pretty cheap with many occurrences of them breaking. i'd like something solid. could be something to add to the list. i might be between those, the hf5's and the crystals.- princesultan

Looking for an IEM for my style of music & purposes ~ 100$ or less
it seems i may be between these: - etymotic hf5 (although i'm worried about the apparent lack of bass) - HiSoundAudio Crystal (from what i'm reading they may have TOO much bass) i'd also consider the mc5's if they would suit my purpose more, but it seems the consensus is to go...- princesultan

Looking for an IEM for my style of music & purposes ~ 100$ or less
Quote: ok cool. i'll look into those. i would however be willing to spend a bit more than what those go for, so not sure they're at my price point. also, in regards to the hisoundaudio crystals, it seems that there isn't many places to purchase them. just trying to see...- princesultan
