V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.
Quote: Doubtful. Manufacturers sell their product at full MSRP so as not to step on their dealers' toes. If they sold it at the same price, a lot of people would buy right from the manufacturer and that would screw over dealers (at least that's how its been explained to me in the past). For...- Circuitbender

DIY Cable Gallery!!
Quote: Heh, sorry. Zashoomin is correct. The whole point of braided sleeving like that is that it takes zero force to insert wire. The braiding is not for looks, it's made to be expandable. You're supposed to push the sleeving to expand it and form a bubble. Insert your cable and grab the...- Circuitbender

DIY Cable Gallery!!
Quote: So I first shrunk on white heatshrink, and then I put two smaller pieces of blue on top, leaving that little ring of white. I think it looks cool and it also makes it a bit more durable and thick.- Circuitbender

DIY Cable Gallery!!
Just started making a cable for my HD 600s today. Canare Starquad and blue computer cable sleeving I had left over from a mouse recabling project. Just waiting on the Sennheiser connectors from China and the Amphenol 1/4" jack from New York.- Circuitbender

Darkvoice 336i & 336SE Tuberolling PartII
Is it cool if I ask for recommendations? I'm not about to dig through 117 pages of comments... I'm basically just looking for the best-value cheap tubes for the 336SE. It's gonna be pushing an HD600. I really like the normal sound sig, but maybe it could use a little bit more top-end sparkle...- Circuitbender

Impressed by Skullcandy Lowriders (and I own some of the world's best headphones)
I just got a pair of JVC HA-S150 "Flats" for $8 shipped from Amazon. I'm blown away, between Monoprice and gems like these, I've concluded that no one should ever have to spend over $200 to get absolute end-game sound. The only reason anyone would spend anything more than that would be build...- Circuitbender

Your street camera to carry everywhere?
That is heartbreaking. If I left my AE-1p anywhere I'd be so sad. Hell I'm nervous leaving it to get repaired at a camera shop.- Circuitbender

Pioneer SE-A1000 (Sennheiser HD 650 for $45?)
Did I ever say anything about the 650? I didn't name the thread. All I said was if you have realistic expectations for $60 open cans, you won't be disappointed.- Circuitbender

I'd agree with that. Just because you came into a purchase with misplaced or unrealistic expectations does not mean the headphones are to blame.- Circuitbender

The JVC HA-S500 thread.
Has anyone tried putting V6 pads on these? I've got a pair of velour ones from an old V6 I sold a while ago, Would probably feel better than the stock pads (if they fit)- Circuitbender
