    Yamaha HPH-150B Open-back Headphones?

Has anyone tried the HPH-150 headphones? They are the higher-end model version of these on-ear headphones which Yamaha makes. And the price seems to have gone down to about $80-$90. Yamaha seems to make these for use with electric pianos. But they don't give much info about that, i.e. is that...

    Win 11 volume centering itself?

does anyone else's volume auto-center in windows 11? if i put the volume at, say, 20%, it lowers the volume to that level but then when i come back later, it resets the node to the center of the slider. problematic because then if i slide the volume up 2% percent from there, it's esentially...

    HD25 earpads in velour

Anyone know of a source for HD25 earpads in velour? Sennheiser "makes" an official black velour earpad which I can't find for sale in the US anywhere. :triumph:

Seeking ear pad vendor recommendation which sells by dimensions

Can anyone recommend a reputable pad vendor who sells pads by size? I’d like to be able to buy, say, a universal 85mm round pad to pop on my Beyer DT240 pro… also a 75mm round pad for my Yamaha HPH headphones, you get the idea. I'd rather not get the generic ones from eBay/Amazon/etc.

    Behringer BH40 and BH60

Has anyone else tried these? I just picked up some BH40 headphones from Behringer, and I'm intrigued. They sound pretty tasty to listen to, with nothing jumping out that irks me on first listen, to disqualify them. Crisp sound, sparkly. The high and lower mids seem to co-exist like sections of...

Thoughts on Turnstile TAPH500, and the $50-$100 price range

Has anyone tried these? They have a removable cord and at $60 are Turnstile's middle option of 3 similar headphones. I like the idea of something durable at the price point with a removable cord. Related question- What do you think of the $50-$100 range in general? I like the idea of picking up...

Breathability: on-ear, or over ear with velour?

I am trying to find some breathable < $200 studio headphones I can wear for mixing for 2-3 hours at a time. I want closed headphones, to block out air conditioner/street noise, etc. I have been going through reviews on RTINGS.com, which has a breathability score (very helpful). Their research...

akg "conference" headphones? - akg k20/k15

These headphones caught my eye because I like a grado or koss ksc75 style headphone, i.e. on ear and with a flat pad. Can anyone remark upon the fidelity of these headphones, which are described as "conference" headphones, i.e. meant for schools and court rooms? See also the next post in this...

    MacGyvering a Headphone Amp?

Hi! I respectfully seek your opinions on an idea I had. The Tube MP is a popular Microphone preamp made by ART. I own one based on recommendations for home recording, and I never use it. This preamp has an input and an output jack, and a tube inside, not unlike a headphone amp. The question...

    Which breathable headphones?

Hello folks, I seek your opinions! Which from these 3 choices of headphones would you recommend, based on which is the most breathable? That's right, I am concerned with just the physical air circulation to your ears in this case, not sound quality. I am also happy to hear other suggestions in...

    A USB speaker hypothetical

I enjoy using my simple USB on-off switches purchased from amazon, to turn on/off usb equipment that doesn't have a switch, such as USB DACs. However now I'm troubleshooting a device that doesn't like the switch. My simple logitech USB-only speakers can be turned off with a USB on/off switch...
