Astell&Kern AK T8iE MkⅡ(Impressions and discussions thread)
No, I don't think Amazon ever sells these. There is no recorded pricing history on camel. It was a third party seller fulfilled by Amazon, similar to the one currently selling for $799.- Katun

Astell&Kern AK T8iE MkⅡ(Impressions and discussions thread)
No way QC issues are fixed on these. Got a brand new pair in the mail today and straight out of the box, the cable was split near the left earpiece (tubing sliding up the cord exposing the wires next to the strain relief). The cable is scary thin for such an expensive IEM and the strain reliefs...- Katun

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread
So are the classics not quite like the pre-fazor LCD-2? I thought the LCD-2F was very disappointing and I'd pay hundreds more for a fazorless model.- Katun

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread
Not a good match I presume? Still didn't like the fazor out of the X3-II or anything else either though, thought they ruined the Audeze house sound by trying to "balance" things out.- Katun

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread
My favorite sounding headphone of all time was my LCD-2.2 pre fazor just out of my Fiio X3-II (all I had at the time). Later on I ordered a LCD-2.2 fazor and ran it balanced out of the Mjolnir. Totally disappointed with it compared to my previous simple LCD-2 setup. Thought the amp would make...- Katun

Brainwavz Audio B400 4-Way Quad Driver 3D Printed IEM
Anyone else had an issue with the lacquer rubbing off on the colored versions? I've had my green rage version for a little over a month and it has received little to no use (been using it mostly for comparison purposes and use my other IEMs for my daily drivers). The other day, I used it for...- Katun

Brainwavz Audio B400 4-Way Quad Driver 3D Printed IEM
Couple notes from me. I've been comparing the B200 v1, B200 v2, and B400 for the past hour swapping between standard and upgraded frosty cable. Regardless of cable, the v1 is quite a bit louder than the v2 at the same volume. Using my clip+ I have to go about 5db lower with the v1 to match...- Katun

Brainwavz B200 - Dual Armature IEM
Just received the new B200 V2 to compliment my B400 and as a spare to my B200 V1 that I've been using as my daily driver almost since release. The frosty shell is a bit bigger than the B200 V1 shell and quite a bit smaller than the B400. Love the B series!- Katun

Did you ever try the B100? I thought the B150 was the weakest in the lineup. B200 was my favorite IEM until I heard the B400.- Katun

Brainwavz Audio B400 4-Way Quad Driver 3D Printed IEM
Anyone know if the colored versions are made differently from the stay frosty version? My stay frosty has some sharp edges/points on the inner part of the housing which results in irritation when moved around my ear. The stock cable also has some harsh points where the strain relief meets the...- Katun

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
Has anyone found anything remotely close to the midrange presentation offered on the LCD-2.2 pre-fazor? I had a fazored LCD-2.2 w/ Schiit Mjolnir and it didn't come CLOSE to my pre-fazor on my Fiio X3-II. I'm trying to find absolutely any headphone with a similar midrange.- Katun

MEE Audio Pinnacle P1 - $199 Dynamic Driver Flagship *Reviews 2nd Post*
Been listening to these for about a week and have some thoughts. Packaging is some of the best I've ever seen regardless of price. Really makes the purchaser feel like they've got something nice. Build quality of shells and cables, again, some of the best I've encountered. Including two...- Katun

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
I agree with a lot of what has been said regarding the LCD-2 pre and post fazor. To me, the LCD-2 pre fazor was the only headphone I've ever heard out of the 200+ I've owned that actually knocked my expectations out of the water. The midrange was absolutely surreal and the bass was sublime...- Katun

Audio-Technica ATH-R70x - In-Depth Review & Impressions
Not that the K5 is anything special, but I'm liking the sound better straight off my X3-II vs docked on the K5 with plenty of extra power. It sounds the equivalent of Audeze putting a fazor in the LCD-2!- Katun

You need the Audeze LCD-2 in your life (comparing against the LCD-3)
Nice write up. Love reading these types of posts. Do you have the fazor version of both the LCD-2 and LCD-3? The pre-fazor LCD-2.2 is my favorite sounding headphone of all time. When I had first purchased them, I was simply running them off my X3-II with fantastic results. Stupidly of me...- Katun

New Fostex RP open-backed planar magnetic headphone, TH500RP! Available now!
I think mine may have a loose (something) too. The right earcup rattles when moving the headphone back and forth. Sound wise, not very impressive. I'm finding the HE-400s a better performer across the board. Detachable cables and better comfort to boot.- Katun
