Sennheiser HD 700 Impressions Thread
I purchased some sheepskin earpad list on auction site Ruten in Taiwan. So far so good. The original cable not only bulky but also bring negative effects to the sound of the headphones. HD700 need no silver , 22awg pure copper bring out the best if it.- Hsiu

Sennheiser HD 700 Impressions Thread
After 8 years of daily usage, I still love hd700. 3 set of headbands and earpads. It is still a amazing headphone. Although it is a pain in the beginning because of the crappy SPC cable and the need of long run in time. I believe it is the real reason why it was less appreciated at the time of...- Hsiu

Sennheiser HD 700 Impressions Thread
totally agree, the stock SPC cable is the main reason it sounds terrible. a well run in Mogami cable fix almost everything bad of HD700 sound. a perfect match with StxII or ROG mother board for music and game. Since HD700 already discontinued, I am worrying what headphone should I get once mine...- Hsiu

Sennheiser HD 700 Impressions Thread
I made a cable out of Mogami 2534 and some decent connectors using kester lead solder, shorter and sound more nuetral than stock , stock sound darker with recessed mid to me. Mogami 2534 and 2893 really improved the overall neutrality of all 3 sennheiser I tried (Hd600, hd700, ie8)- Hsiu

New HD700 owner here. After my HD600 break down on me, I got HD700 as my next. Initially, the phone sound horrible. Muffled low and sharp top. It is getting better day by day as I feed it with various type of music every day for 3 hours each day for the last 3 weeks. Hopfully it will get even...- Hsiu

HD600 upgrade cable with XLR or 6.3mm plug?
It really depend on what equipment (Amp and/or DAC-Amp). the other suggeswtion is to get several cable each with different plug consider the cable on HD650 is detachable, I have HD600 and I made cables of my own using both 6.3mm and 3.5mm. I didn't make XLR because I don't have equipment using...- Hsiu

it is the TWcu 24 AWG from Cryo-Parts. it is rather flexible but slightly hard to wirk with because the insulation tube shrink a lot when heat apply to the wire.- Hsiu

DIY Cable Gallery!!
I first measure 4 equal length wire, solder then onto the 3.5mm plug. then I thread the wires through the sleeve. heat shrink was used to fix the sleeve to the wire before puting the cover of the plug onto it. another layer of heat shrink to the external of the plug. on the other end, the four...- Hsiu

I bought some SCSCag and TWcu from Cryo-Parts, made the silver last night, nto sure if I like it, it sound soo bright not sure if burn-in will help. it may suit the slightly darker sound HD650. Westone UM3X Thread
I give up on silicon UM56 for fitting and hard to insert. Olive and Shure silicon is best for me. I am gonna use my UM3X until they die. it is so good that my next will be UM5X if they decide to make one. I am too raugh for custom and can't use custom to convince other to spend money in IEM.- Hsiu

Sansa Clip+ Impressions
Clip+'s FR match well with UM3X to compensate its weaker high. flat response often sound like the bass is reduced which is a way to compensate bass heavy down stream- Hsiu

hotaudio40 's amps
Sound wise, I like it better for my SRH840 and UM3X. although mine has a few issue with my laptop. it sound really nice for my untrained ear. it is very powerful and you need a volume control or amp for it, else the hiss and crazily loud volume will kill your ear if plug your earphone straight...- Hsiu
