Yeah, Portal was a great game. I like puzzles in general, but Portal also had funny bits and clever obstacles. It was definitely like nothing else I had ever played at the time. A 10/10 for me.- Whitetriton

Dragon Quest 11 "Echoes of An Elusive Age" on Switch- 7/10 This game is like a tale of two halves to me. There is some pretty good storytelling and fun combat one minute and incredibly stupid/juvenile writing and frustrating combat the next. The game uses artificial challenges like taking...- Whitetriton

Do you prefer to listen to entire albums or random tracks?
When listening for pleasure, I'll load up my music library and play random songs. I never had a record player and have very limited experience with cassettes, so I have no nostalgia for listening to an entire album. In fact, I doubt I could even name five albums on which I like every track...- Whitetriton

Are the HD800/s still the kings of comfort?
Yes, I definitely meant grams and not ounces. I have corrected it in my post above. Headphone comfort is very subjective due to different head/ear sizes, amount of hair, whether one wears glasses, climate, etc and also variations between different samples of the same make/model (I demo'd a...- Whitetriton

Are the HD800/s still the kings of comfort?
NEW CONTENT: Ryder, can you share where you got the weights above? I'm wondering if some are with the cable and some are headphones only without cable. I see some sites that suggest that the HD700 is about 270 ounces (*correction "grams") without the cable. I also see that the HD650 is about...- Whitetriton

What are earpads with holes called?
I believe Dekoni audio calls their pads with holes "fenestrated." https://dekoniaudio.com/product-category/elite-fenestrated-sheepskin/ Hope that helps.- Whitetriton

Are the HD800/s still the kings of comfort?
If we're speaking strictly for comfort, my personal opinion is that the HD 700 is the most comfortable headphone I've ever worn.- Whitetriton

Sonarworks Headphone Calibration software
I've owned a Sonarworks headphone license for a while but just got a pair of Oppo PM-3 headphones the other day. Listening to music with Sonarworks allowed me to understand lyrics that I previously hadn't been able to. I really enjoyed that. Definite thumbs up for the PM-3.- Whitetriton

Schiit Yggdrasil Impressions thread
I second this. I purchased a used PCI version and have been very happy with the results. I've never had the PCI-E version to compare to in my rig, but with how it sounds I don't feel any need to "upgrade".- Whitetriton
