Full size headphones with Re262 sound signature

I love my Re262s for portable use but i'm now looking to buy some full size headphones for use at home. Can anyone recommend some with a similar sound signature? My maximum budget would be £400.

    Small replacement bi/triflanges for re-262

I would like to use bi/triflange tips with my re-262s, but unfortunately the medium/ large ones that came with them are too large for my ears. Are there any decent small sized ones which i could buy as replacements? Ideally from a UK supplier.

Balanced Amps- what are they, and why does my Fiio E6 seem to qualify?

Ah, ok- that explains a lot. Well at least I can use it to shorten my headphone cable and put the amp in a more useable position (jacket pocket hight).    I assume there is meant to be a SQ benefit to using a balanced amp. Is it large enough to make it worth looking into for the future, since...

Balanced Amps- what are they, and why does my Fiio E6 seem to qualify?

First, I have just bought my first good headphones and have no idea what 'balanced' means in this context, aside from the info in the instruction manual which came with my IEMs and occasional cryptic (to me) references I have spotted on these forums.   I have RE262 IEMs, which are balanced...

    IEM Pain (RE262)

The tips are all silicone, but I have been trying the smallest tips upside down again with the channel reverse adapter and I think this is going to be the best option. It feels much more comfortable. I'm just going to have to get used to wearing them that way up. Thanks for the advice!

    IEM Pain (RE262)

I have just bought my first IEMs (RE262), which I love for the SQ, but which are causing quite a lot of discomfort for my ears.   I have tried all the tips in the box (small/med/large normal tips and med/large biflanges), and only the smallest non-biflange tips fit easily into my ears. Oddly...

    Inexpensive amp for RE262

I just got some 262s and i'm loving the unamped sound already from my ipad2 and iphone 4. They really are a huge step up from anything i've heard before. Since i don't have experience with amps and want something super small (smaller than my iphone), i was going to get an E6 for them. Is the...

I still cant decide which full size headphone im going for. So, as a stop gap, I bought the KSC75s on Mad Lust's recommendation.   I'm kind of suprised, but they really are good. Very nice in DH; accurate, spacious, seem to put out a fair amount of bass. In Dead Space the ambient sounds have...

Do you think they would sound as good with an E11 and software EQ?

When you raped them with bassboosts they sounded good? Whats wrong with EQing them to get the sound you want? Did it mess up other aspects of the sound?   Again, for some reason the premium dt990 is £100 more expensive than the pro- which just seems hard to justify to me. I mean, if as...

Hmmm, people seem to have varying opinions about how much the q701 differs from the K7xx.    I have now been shown a pair of the K701s at £165 delivered, which is exactly £100 cheaper than the cheapest Q701 I have seen. I'm finding it hard to resist jumping in at that price. Is the Q701 THAT...

Well, i went out to a shop which i found selling all the headphones ive been looking at. Unfortunately, they didnt actually have the DT880, HD598 or K/Q7xx to try when i went in, though ill go back when they come back into stock.   However, i did try the DT990, HD600 and 650. For starters...

I should probably have said that i'm playing on a PC using the Xonar DG which i think tops out its amp at 150 ohms. I don't know how this compares to the mixamp or DSS though.   I asked on the Q701 appreciation thread whether they were easier to drive than the K701, but I was told they have...

I have never had any complaints about the SQ of Spotify on the high quality setting, but then my current headphones/ stereo aren't anything special. As a service, its very slick and, I would say, very good value. For me, its basically a very cost effective way of getting all the new music as it...

Hey,   I've been reading through this thread and its been a massive healp in narrowing my possible choices. Basically i'm looking for an all purpose headphone which does my music (pop, rock, classical- in that order) and games and films in DH.   I'm down to the HD 598 and K/Q701 at this...
