    Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A

I’m not Sage, but Aleksandr mentioned after months of making silver wires they had quite a few short silver scraps left over. Why not use them for internal wiring? It can’t hurt.

I like the design changes on the grille, look very good. Congrats to new owners!

@Aleksandar R. , my hats off to you for your incredible messaging here. I'm a big fan of my original SR-1a, and excited for everything you have in the works. I also think the SR-1a is beautiful, and its built with as much luxury and careful design as I could ever want. You can only dress up a...

I wear mine five or six hours a day, every weekday. I have for 18 months. Silence is better, sure, but they’re always great.

If the metal band touches your head, I can definitely see why you like the pilot pad. When I wear mine without any extra padding the metal band just floats. The wide leather strap and the pads are all that touch my head, and it's extremely comfy.

I listen with them pretty close to my ears, though not touching.. I still find the sound very compelling. I only play with the wings when I feel I've accidentally moved one, which is very audible.

If there ever was a headphone to settle the question over whether you hear a difference in RCA cables in your system, this here is the one.

Count me in as another convolution devotee. I've long used EQ settings similar to those Amir specified in his review, and really enjoyed them. They put out significant, tactile bass for one, and while I'm not a bass head, I am a bass player, and I appreciate realistic reproduction of all...

Obviously I'm not trying to talk you into keeping an amp you don't enjoy, but for comparison my Jotunheim R has no audible distortion, and has never had any thermal dropouts. I keep mine on a shelf next to an RME DAC and it's run 24/7 for probably three months. The top is warmer than ambient...

Theoretically your AHB2 should be a perfect match, but I've not heard of anyone that tried it enjoying it. I have not tried it, myself. The A23 could very well be better, even though on paper it's not as stout an amplifier as the AHB2.

Hey Nums! I remain on a never ending source quest. Currently I’m exploring pro gear. I tried a Dangerous Convert-2 and a Crane Song, both were excellent. Currently they are hooked up to an RME ADI-2 being fed up converted DSD from HQ Player which I like a great deal. I’ve been pushing for...

The concern is not for the fuse itself, or even necessarily safety, but for the design choices that let that fuse blow. I don't have one here in front of me, and I've never heard it, but from the photos it looks like the power supply caps are really getting hammered.

The best way to test would be to flip it on but set it to 0db, then turn on the clipping indicator. If you ever see your quality light turn red, you should increase it from 0db to something higher. If you don’t, headroom management would not be necessary.

I have 9db on the DSP, and headroom management running as well.
