Drop (formerly Massdrop) also has their 32 ohm 177x go version. That has decent pricing too.- Packdemon

At the end of the day, it's still pretty expensive. Sometimes getting a "Used - Like New" DT 1770 on Amazon gives you a good deal. Right now it's definitely not the lowest I've seen, so it's best just keeping an eye out. Subscribing to eBay notifications for used Beyerdynamic on the market is...- Packdemon

No problem. Like I said, it's a bit of time, but you could save money if you order it yourself. There's small quirks I think I forgot to mention too, but here's a few things to help you out on saving some time. It's easier to source the parts (part numbers) from the German website than the...- Packdemon

Oh boy. It's been a long time since I've logged on. Yes, there is a way. There's alawys a way for people that are handy with mods, but if you are not, then there still is a way. The DT 1770 pro headband has a plastic guide/guard that prevents the metal from causing pressure there, while also...- Packdemon

Yes, they are identical. I think that massdrop produces a low impedance beyerdynamic 177x headphone. It's quite a lot more expensive than the COP, but it's cheaper than the original 1770 and has 32 ohms of impedance. Don't know when it'll drop next, but keep an eye out for it.- Packdemon

Monoprice Monolith Desktop THX Amp/DAC (#24459) - Impressions Thread
Mouser.com is where I buy all of my connectors (and circuit board LEDs) from. They have every connector known to man, and you can filter your search for some pretty cheap ones (deals you can't find anywhere else). I'd highly recommend using them for DIY projects.- Packdemon

It's unfortunate that the 10% off promotion code that Monoprice had expired today. Anyone that ordered with it yesterday got lucky.- Packdemon

Happened to me too (not the RMA bit, but the rest). I felt like the cables weren't detachable enough for those cans if you know what I mean.- Packdemon

@franz12 It could mean that it'll measure better, I won't say as to whether or not you'll be able to hear the minute difference.- Packdemon

Okay, so I can confirm that the +75 ohm impedance cable works very well with my sensitive iems, and I cannot hear the distortion with the source volume turned down low, and amp volume all the way up. With the cheap volume control cable, not so much. I think it did make some difference, but it...- Packdemon
